The Hilton’s free shuttle service took me to the Waterfront at 8:00 am to have breakfast, view the morning activities at the Waterfront and meet with AWOL at 10:00 am. I opened googled map, Cape Town, South Africa to find the meet up location, which is the Information place on Dock Road, near Vovo Telo restaurant and the Ferris Wheel.A young ( Russian ) well-informed woman guided us, a small group of tourists around the city on a Sunday. I wore sneakers/ water shoes, yoga capri pants with an attachable skirt, a long sleeve button shirt that dries quickly and wisks the sweat away, a long thin windbreaker, sunglasses, a cloth cap with sweat band to line the helmet which they provided, a waterproof bag to protect my electronics and a foldable backpack to hold my stuff. I was delighted that the tour passed the Hilton, my chosen hotel in the Bo-Kaap neighborhood.Colorful houses with a slave history is today a Muslim neighborhood.I am an early riser, early in the morning around 5:30 am, I stood near my window on the fifth floor of the Hilton to see the onion dome of the mosque lit up, and to hear the soothing sound of Muslim people praying/ chanting.Lion’s Head and Table Top Mountain complimented the Mystical energy.Knowledgeable Dasha gave me the name of a Muslim restaurant with an excellent view of Lion’s Head, Table Top Mountain and Signal Hill.I chose the city bike tour to acquire knowledge of Cape Town, while I exercised with a group.
