Can’t say enough about our private wine tasting and tour. The company contacted us well ahead of our visit to coordinate wineries. We had already made tasting reservations at Domaine Carneros and Mondavi, with lunch at Auberge du Soleil. Our driver, Lonny, suggested Caymus. What a great suggestion! Beautiful garden there, great wine. The sparkling wine at Domaine Carneros was so good. Beautiful estate. Our driver, Lonny, was terrific! Friendly, knowledgeable, cool guy. Drove us by the Palace of Fine Arts on the way out for a photo opportunity, and on the way back a photo opportunity of the Golden Gate Bridge. Even drove us down Lombard Street! I’l request him by name next we go back. The private car and driver is definitely the way to tour wine country! And I’d recommend during the week. Not as crowded.
We had a great time! Alex, our driver, was prompt, very professional, courteous and very knowledgeable about the wineries. We used several of his recommendations and he was very flexible when we wanted to change/add stops at the last minute. He really worked hard to accommodate our every request! We even kept him for a couple of extra hours and made a stop at Muir Woods on the way back from Napa. Fun day!
I could not be more grateful to the Cardinal limo team, our coordinator Mason and our AMAZING driver Alex for an unforgettable day in Napa. Mason was extremely responsive in helping to lay out our day and suggest some vineyards to book. While they dont do the booking for you as stated in the booking page, they could not have made it easier to do it yourself providing an itinerary, time frames, and ideas. It was a last minute trip for us so unfortunately we could not secure any reservations at specific vineyards, but our driver Alex always had a "Plan B" and knew of some great walk-in tastings to make sure our day was fabulous. Speaking of ensuring a fabulous day, Alex was amazing from the start. He picked us up promptly at our hotel in San Francisco at 9am in a very clean and comfortable car and proceeded to take us on our way while passing a few of San Francisco's famous sites for a photo opportunity. He had some great secret spots ensuring stunning pictures under the Golden Gate Bridge and even provided champagne to kick off the day;s festivities. He was a great impromptu tour guide with great knowledge of the area and history. As two sisters / young women traveling alone we always felt safe and comfortable with Alex and he could not have possibly been more helpful or professional. I could not possibly recommend this company or Alex more highly. They were the best and thank you again!
Our driver Lonnie was great, and very accommodating the whole process was smooth as well! He offered to take pictures, gave awesome suggestions (our lunch was amazing) and Was on top and prompt with any of our needs the entire trip! Definitely recommend!
My Daughter came for three days from London and I bought the winery tour from Viator, but when I paid the company started playing games and told me I have to make reservations from each winery that I wanted to visit, who knows how far each one is from one another, this is the tour company's job. I send e-mail and explain manager- I don't have time for do his job call each winery. he said ok , cancel trip. But I bought the tickets for the flight and paid for the hotel, and I promise my daughter this trip , How about this? He didn't care. When we stay in hotel he send me e-mail for I have to give him authorization form from my c/card, if not he again cancel this trip. But I paid for this wine tour full before. This people look like racketeer. And my suggestion, this company have to give all my payment to driver, because this gentleman tried to fix all the problems that his company give us.
We had entire day planned for you and provided detailed itinerary with suggested time stamps for each winery. Each winery has several tasting options. To avoid any misunderstanding, we don’t make tasting reservations on client’s behalf , which disclosed all across our emails. You also called driver and changed pick up time on a day of departure , from 9:00 to 8:20. You didn’t follow our simple instructions and failed to make any reservations, per our advice. We were communicating with you via emails and responded to every single email / questions. Please don’t blame on us , If for some reason , you are unable to read in plain English and follow simple advice , plus changing pick up time on a time of departure. You’ve spent over 13hrs in wine country , which included 5 extra hours ( great indication of the great day and joyful time in the Valley ) . Why complain about it , when it’s clearly stated all across in Bold font , that you’re responsible for each hour after first 8hrs, paid via Viator. ? Plus it was explained to you numerous times , as we felt , we had some type language and common sense barrier...
This was perfect for 7 of us. Nice to have a driver and not a full bus load. Drawback was he didn't have much information on the area for history. The information that was shared the people in the back couldn't hear. I have been on a bus tour before where the driver was very knowledgeable about the area. No regrets just different way to go to the wineries. Have to make your own reservations for wine tasting usually if there are 6 or more. Do it early I had a hard time scheduling and not being able to get to one of them because they were full.
