It was a pretty good trip. We had 10 people in our booking so it was a smaller group. The only downside was that our guide kept lecturing us about not using products because of the cenote, which I totally get, but we were never told upfront before we came to bring biodegradable products. He would call us out in front of everyone else, and as an adult- not so awesome getting a lecture about something you weren't told about beforehand. I put on lotion that was natural with no chemicals in it on my hands and he called me out in front of everyone even though I washed my hands with soap/water before going in the cenote. He also called out another girl who put on sunscreen at Coba. Sorry, but I'm not going to chance getting burned especially when we can wash off before the cenote. Please advise your guests to bring the biodegradable products sunscreen if we need to. Other than that, it was pretty interesting to learn more about the history and culture of the Maya people.
