Unbelievable experience!! Tiho was the absolute best guide ever!!
We docked in Montenegro on August 14th and were greeted at the port by our tour guide Tihomir. He took us on the most fabulous adventure, visiting Budva, Perast, and Kotor. We went to the most picturesque locations and were able to see all the sites by van, boat, and foot. It was truly a remarkable experience!! For those who enjoy being connected, our guide provided portable wifi added bonus for this day in age!! Tihomir was extremely knowledgeable about Montenegro's history as well as current events and displayed a very genuine passion for the country and his line of work. He truly wanted us to enjoy our time in Montenegro as much as possible and be able to leave having learned something about a relatively young country. His ability to be flexible with the schedule, answer questions, and provide suggestions was second to none. I would highly recommend booking a tour of Montenegro with Tiho, you won't regret it!!!
Our tour guide, Ivan, was an amazing guide and was extremely knowledgeable. He took us to the villages of Perast and Budva and out to the Lady of the Rocks island with lots of photo stops along the way. We had a lovely lunch by the beach in Budva and then finished the day in Kotor. Would recommend this tour.
Probably not famous for a Christmas holiday the tour was like a private one since there were just the 3 of us, me my wife and daughter. Guide was very informative, accomodating and friendly. We were brought to great and amazing places. If you love history you'll enjoy this tour.
Jem was a great tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and gave us great insight about the area and about other areas that we were going to be touring on our trip. I highly recommend him for a tour.
This was the most fabulous way to experience the Old Town of Kotor. Our guide Ilua lives in the Old town and has amazing knowledge on the history. Truly beautiful place.
Personal guide was delightful. Able to ask a lot of questions.
Our ship was a little late and our guide managed to get in everything and a little more. She did a great job. very knowledgable.
Kotor is lovely and our tour guide was an ace! He made the tour. I give him a 4 or 5 out of 5. He was in his early 20s but is so passionate about his country and well educated about its history that it made a great experience overall. The only thing is that KOTOR is very small and the traffic is really bad. Our driver ended up being late but 40 minutes which he profusely apologized for as there was a accident on the 1 road in. We were caught in traffic on our way back from Our Lady of Rock so there was no time to see Perast and our time in the medieval village of Kotor was very rushed. The private tour for us group of 4 adults with 2-12 yr olds was great and the guarantee that Viator offers that you will make it back to your ship on time or they will get you to the next port made us feel comfortable. However, I wonder if a boat ride to Our Lady of the Rock is the way to go to bypass traffic issues. And then when you are back you can very easily walk into the sweet little town of Kotor and have a bite to eat as the food looked amazing with time to take in it's history and beauty.
Actual rating would have been 10. This tour was EXCEPTIONAL! And a definite if you want to see all of the MUST-SEES while in Kotor for a day. If you want a PRIVATE TOUR and see the sites around Kotor where the tourists don't go, then book this tour and ask for MILE BOZOVIC. He will show you anything and everything you want to see, for any amount of time that you want to spend, and you will learn as much or as little history as you want.
Upon arrival in Kotor on our cruise ship, we were met by our tour guide, MILE BOZOVIC, who was punctual, well dressed, well groomed, and extremely cheerful. He then took us to his vehicle which until then, we were under the impression it was a group tour, and thus were extremely and very happily impressed that it turned out to be a PRIVATE tour and we were off to tour the must-sees around Kotor. The tour had stated that we would see Perast, Budva, and Kotor, however, Mile allowed us to personalize the tour and change it to see anything we wanted to. Thus, on our way to Perast, our tour guide recommended that we see The Lady Of The Rock and immediately contacted his friend who took us by boat to the island. Talk about service!!!! After touring the island and church, we were back on the boat and back to Perast where Mile took us on a walking tour of Perast and then introducing u s to a local jewelry maker allowing us to purchase some local items at a very good price.
After Perast, we were back in the vehicle and taking a different route back through Kotor and off to Budva. When I realized that Budva was not the place that I wanted to see, that it was actually St. Stephan, he immediately took us to an exceptional view point allowing us to get a postcard type picture of the resort. We then headed into Budva Old Town for a walking tour and history lesson of the Citedel.
Upon completion of our tour of Budva, it was back to Kotor for our walking tour of Old Town Kotor and the sites and history lesson of Old Town Kotor. Mile had the answers to every question we asked he allowed us time for shopping he introduced us to his friends with the best prices of jewelry or other items that we were interested in. We didn't feel rushed at all.
This was the best tour we have taken through Viator to date, and my husband and I have taken a lot. If you book this tour, you will not be disappointed!
