This was interesting - the guide was good but she told us much about Budapest in general and not much about the communist era. We started with the trip to Memento Park - although admissions were supposed to be included we had to pay our own admission and were not escorted. Nothing was in English so we did not know what the various items were or where they had been located. Thus, that part was a waste of time. From the description we assumed it would be mostly by vehicle, but most of the tour was a walking tour. It was interesting, but not what was expected.
Beautiful area to ride. We chose the 1 hour ride and saw some beautiful countryside. I had a well behaved horse. The dinner after was delicious. The guide wasnt too talkative but all in all a great experience worth the money. Pay for a ride to get there...you will never find it otherwise. The driver was scheduled through the horse people. He takes you to and from the ranch and also drives you to the restaurant. Only takes cash. It cost us 20,000 HUF but well worth it.
This tour was amazing! Our guide was very nice and professional, we went through countryside and river banks, the town of Eton and Windsor, we covered a lot while having a great time. Our guide came to meet us at our hotel in Windsor and showed us places that we would have never been able to find on our own.
Although this tour was pricey, it was worth every penny. My driver showed up on time at 10am and took me to three vineywards and a couple other stops. The vineyards were unbelievable! I am usually not a white wine drinker, but the region we went to is known for its white wines. They were dry and not fruity, so more on par with red wines I usually enjoy. The amount of food and drink I received was not expected! The tastings were more like full glasses of wine, and plenty of food was provided to soak up the alcohol. You are truly treated like a VIP. Also, worth noting that I traveled by myself and no other guests joined me on this tour. So I could take as much or little time I wanted at each stop. the tour ended up being almost 12 hours! If you are traveling to Budapest, please try out this tour. In general, you should try to get out of the city to see the beautiful countryside of Hungary.
The castle is just ok. And we didn't find anything much to do in Eger honestly. The driver was silent through the journey and provided no insight into the town or its history.
Bought this for my mums 50th, took over 3.5 hours to get there our driver clearly got lost and didn't want to own up to it. Driver was lovely and friendly however the drive was far too long with no apology.
Treatment at the spa was awful- we were continuously ignored by staff when asking for information - it was only when a kind man who spoke hungarian stepped in for us that our questions were addressed despite being in the front of the queue. Advertisement doesn't identify that robes and towels are not included in the price like most spas- you had to buy them on site- not a problem if they had been larger than a hand towel! Advertisement also doesn't state that it you are paying for lake only and no access to saunas or steam rooms etc. All in all a wasted day. Very disappointed.
Fantastic personalized and enjoyable experience. Our driver Peter really was the cherry on top-notch fun and really informative.
Great tour and our guide was very nice. We enjoyed the day and evening show and feast.
This tour was our highlight. The guide Balazs was top professional. We had a wonderful carriage ride along the way. Our English speaking guide Julia was very knowledgeable. Wonderful town to visit
What a great time this was! Out of all the tours I booked, and there were many as I was travelling alone, the operator on this tour was the crowning jewel. The the quickest to respond, make travel/lunch arrangements, easiest to work with and the the most accommodating, she was a dream. She even sent me home with cookies! As the first activity I had in Hungry, she definitely set the bar high for everyone that followed.
A driver came and picked me up from the hotel and took me to the country where the horses are. Initially, I did not think about getting transportation to the farm, so it turned out not being the cheapest thing but it was worth it to me. The driver was super professional and I liked him very much as a person. He was very interesting and fixed/handled everything for me which is such a luxury to have.
My horse was Kimmi and she was a sweetie. I loved my guide, a sweet girl from the city that loves the country life. I picked cherries off the trees from the saddle as we rode through the trees which was pretty amazing for me as we have few trees and even less cherries where I live. I liked the ride through the wooded areas best, my guide preferred the rolling hills.
I choose to have lunch in town and had the entire place to myself. Only after I returned to the city did I find out this is a very famous place and I was very lucky to dine there! The food was the best I had in Hungry no doubt.
This was a great experience for me, definitely a highlight for getting to see some of the country, terrific people and outstanding food.
We had an excellent time on this tour with Paul to Lake Heviz. He took such amazing care of us! My 11 year old got sick on the way to Heviz and Paul could not have been more gracious in the way he handled that situation and how much fun he made our entire tour!! We highly recommend using this company for any tours you might do while in Budapest. We are so thankful for the first class treatment!
Good show and lunch. When booking the ad did not clearly state you had to arrange for your own transportation to and from the venue which ended up being VERY expensive.
