A must do activity. Very interesting!
Interesting experience. I have lived in 3 countries in Africa and 3 in South America, so open-air, dusty, crowded, noisy, hot, loud, food markets don't bother me a bit. The dark, rather dingy, kitchen, with no running water, dull knives and no apparent training in any type of food sanitation did take me aback. When chicken was cut on the same board as raw veggies although afterward, I was concerned. When a piece of chicken hit the floor, was casually scooped up and put back in the pot with the rest, I was done. I did get a good rice recipe out of the experience, even if I didn't want to eat any thing we cooked that day.
