To be honest, I don’t want to give one star. The main precautions were not informed. I booked the 9.30a.m Dolphin Sanctuary Kayak for four people. They didn’t tell me the night before that I needed to arrive at the destination 15 minutes in advance to prepare and wait. When we arrived at our destination at 9.26a.m, the person in charge said that we were 15 minutes late, and they were treat us very unfriendly and unpatience. At first, my friend and I had no experience in kayaking, and the kayak kept shaking. The male staff directly said to us: (If you don’t know how to row, I advise you don’t play kayak! Just now you didn't listen to the coach's explanation kayak lessons?) I've only been in the kayak for less than a minute, does the manager need to say something so impolite to us? We really come on vacation pay money for enjoy and have fun, not for pissed off. It is in the tourist attraction service industry. If there is no good service attitude and patience, I advise the service center staff not to do this job, not you to persuade us don’t row kayak. This service attitude makes me not want to visit again.

HI WeiPin we are very shocked and sad to read your review. This is very strange behaviour from our guides and is something I will need to look into further and discuss with our guides. We apologise that you felt you were not dealt with correctly and that you did not enjoy your tour with us.
Great way to spend the morning.

Our guide shared his knowledge of dolphins and their environment with us as we kyacked our way around the sanctuary. We had never kayaked before, so it was a great way to learn. We really enjoyed the stillness of the glide through the mangroves.

An Amazing kayaking experience with the dolphins
    Taylor_C, Apr 2022
Our tour guide Noah was amazing at telling us details about the ship wreak and the mangroves. When asked a question he was able to answer in heaps of detail. We saw a mother and calf dolphin who was doing tricks, who got quite close to us. Love the experience and would recommend it to anyone coming to Adelaide.
    Response from Host, Apr 2022
Thank you so much for your 5 star review and recommendation Taylor. I will be sure to pass this on to Noah who will very much appreciate your kind words. So glad you got to see all the Dolphin Sanctuary has to offer and we hope to see you again some day.
    No dolphins kayak.
    Gina_R, Apr 2022
An enjoyable kayak along the mangroves. It may be a dolphin sanctuary but we saw no sign of dolphins. Limited wildlife in industrial area with poor water quality. Dumped old ships, not shipwrecks.
    Response from Host, Apr 2022
HI Gina we are very sad to hear your review. The dolphins we normally see around the Garden Island area are wild dolphins who come and go as they please (we dont feed them or coax them to the area) and as such we do not guarantee you will see dolphins during this eco tour. The two main shipwrecks we normally visit are the "Santiago" which was built in 1856 and was layed to rest in the ships graveyard in 1945 and the other is the "Dorothy" which has was built in 1920 and wrecked in 1932. We are glad you enjoyed the mangrove creeks.
    Worth doing
    Sarah_W, Apr 2022
Lovely few hours on the calming water. Nice to see the Mongroves and shipwrecks - unfortunately we did not get to see any dolphins. Also a little hard to hear the commentary at time - but well worth a visit
    Response from Host, Apr 2022

The mangroves were amazing! So beautiful paddling through the shaded mangroves, & so quiet & cool. We saw plenty of dolphins playing & saw 3 shipwrecks. Interesting history. All the information provided by our guide Noah was great & he looked after us well. Beautiful way to spend a day. Thank you

    Erin_M, Mar 2022
It was a lovely experience. Myself and my husband had a lovely time exploring shipwrecks, as well as the mangroves. We were lucky enough to see a dolphin with her calf. Our tour guid was good with generic knowledge in regards to the ships, but struggled with majority of questions asked. Such as names of the mangrove forests, and basic dolphin knowledge. Overall our tour guid was super friendly, and had a few cool, interesting facts to share. Prices are good. Toilets, and water were available as well. Definately a good time, would definitely do it again.
    Response from Host, Mar 2022
Thank you so much for your recommendation Erin and we are pleased you enjoyed your kayak tour with us and got to experience all the Dolphin Sanctuary has to offer.

Great day out dolphins and kayaking
    Ross_M, Jan 2022
Our guide Kirralee was very knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed every part of the trip. We were especially lucky with brilliant weather, a high tide and dolphins galore from start to finish, a highlight was a pair of dolphins swimming between all of our kayaks, something we will all treasure, also the shipwrecks and the mangrove paddle we found very interesting, couldn’t recommend this trip enough 🦈🦈
