Start your day of self-guided hiking with pickup at your Adelaide hotel around 8:30am. Climb into a tour vehicle for the short drive to the trailhead of the area's most popular hike. Get an orientation from your guide, as well as a map of the area, and set off at your own pace.
This portion of the hike will take about 1 to 2 hours, depending on your speed and rest breaks. The well-marked trails lead to the summit, which features panoramic views over Adelaide and the Gulf St. Vincent.
Continue down from the summit on the bush track that leads to the Cleland Wildlife Park, where you can refuel at the Cleland Café (own expense) before beginning your exploration. Take the self-discovery trails through 86 acres (35 hectares) of land, where you can see and feed wallabies, kangaroos, and koalas with a provided bag of animal food.
You'll be dropped off back at your Adelaide hotel around 3:30pm.
