Overview

Discover the treasures of the Mughal Empire of India on a private full-day tour of Agra. See the sunrise at the Taj Mahal, and visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, the exquisite abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri, and the majestic Agra Fort. You'll take in three UNESCO World Heritage Sites during your tour, which includes private guide and vehicle, entrance fees, and hotel pickup and drop-off in Agra.
  • Watch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal and go across the river to see the Baby Taj (Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah)
  • Private full-day Agra tour with Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri, Agra Fort, and Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah
  • See the treasures inside the walled complex of the Agra Fort
  • Marvel at the architecture of Fatehpur Sikri and the Baby Taj
  • Includes private guide and vehicle, entrance fees, and hotel pickup and drop-off in Delhi
Get an early start with morning pickup at 6am at your hotel and transfer by private vehicle to the Taj Mahal.

Watch the colors change on the white marble of the Taj Mahal as the sun rises over this stunning masterpiece of Mughal architecture. Next up, head to the Agra Fort and stroll around the maze of courtyards, mosques, and private chambers inside the fort's walls. The fort was built for Emperor Akbar and its elegant interior combines both Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles.

Continue to the monument known as the 'Baby Taj' — the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah, located on the opposite bank of the Yamuna River from the Taj Mahal. During your 1-hour tour of the site, your guide explains the Persian elements in the mausoleum's design, which was built between 1622 and 1628 by Empress Nur Jahan for her father.

Take a break for lunch (own expense) at a renowned Indian restaurant, then hop back in your vehicle for the 1-hour drive outside of the city to Fatehpur Sikri.

The abandoned Mughal capital showcases a perfectly preserved city built at the height of the empire’s splendor. Spend about 1.5 hours there before your tour ends in the late afternoon with transferred back to your hotel.

Bit of a mixed bag. The guide was on time but said very little much of the time and talked on his smartphone. He told me the tour did not include Tomb of Itmad ud Daulah but accepted it did when shown the voucher. After Agra Fort, he informed us he was leaving and another guide would meet us at Fatehpur Sikri. We were sent off with only a driver. When we went to the lunch stop, they insisted we had to pay for our lunch although we were told it was included when booking confirmed on our paperwork. As we had no guide with us, we had no option but to pay. Afternoon guide at Fatehpur Sikri was good but did drag us to shopping opportunity we did not need. Overall, OK but left a bit of a bitter taste.

The first part of the tour in Agra was excellent - we had a very knowledgeable, helpful and entertaining guide. The guide at Fatehpur Sikri was not so good it was hard to understand what he was saying and he insisted on taking us to a place behind the mosque where they tried emotional and religious blackmail to make us buy items for donation to the mosque.

The team that took care of me was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I saw the sites I wanted to see and everything operated smoothly. The communication before the trip was great as well. Would highly recommend

This was a great tour and Sumit and his team were very flexible and accommodating to our requests. We started a little bit later as there was too much fog to see and visited the Agra Fort first. Our guides for the day were very knowledgeable and interesting and were able to answer all of our questions. All of the sites are incredibly amazing and it certainly helps to have a private guide with you so that you don't get harassed by hawkers at each location. We also had a licensed photographer come with us for part of our Taj Mahal visit which meant we got access to all the good photo spots. The visits to the local marble and stone merchants was interesting, but I really don't like the sales aspect but was always expected. For those people wondering if the trip out to Fatehpur Sikri is worth it? It definitely is. This abandoned city is unlike what you will see in Agra. Each palace within the monument is so very different itself and shows the differences in heritage and religion of each Queen. It is definitely worth the extra distance and definitely not to be missed. Sumit and his team give a wonderful day and are very flexible and accommodating to their guests.
