First, stroll to beautiful Maria Luisa Park, a public park humming with local picnickers and shaded by a canopy of palm, elm, and Mediterranean pine trees. Walk along the park’s expansive Moorish-style gardens as you approach the stunning Plaza de España. Learn how this Renaissance Revival style building was built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition World’s Fair.
Enter the regal Plaza de España noticing the half-circle moat, grandeur walking bridges, and gorgeous twin towers. Head towards the center and see the Vicente Traver fountain. Watch as water soars into the air creating a cooling mist.
Move onward to explore the neighborhood of Santa Cruz. Learn about this former Jewish quarter as you wind your way through narrow cobblestone alleys with Tapas Bars at every turn. After wandering past charming whitewashed houses arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage site Seville Cathedral. Stop for a perfect photo opportunity at the world’s largest Gothic cathedral.
Next, head to Real Alcazar Palace (Alcazar of Seville), the oldest royal palace still in use today. Admire its architecture developed by real Moorish kings and learn how the upper levels are still occupied by the royal family. After visiting the palace your tour ends with your guide, but continue for the next 3 hours on your own.
If you’re hungry, head to a tapas bar for a wide variety of tasty bites or grab a smooth gelato to cool down (own expense). It is a long day depending where you get picked up from but you get plenty of time in Seville so it's worth it!
Practical info: Pick-up by van at 0610am (10 minutes early) from Quinta do Paraiso resort in Carvoeiro (west Algarve) After 2 bus transfers finally reached Seville at 1030am Portugal time.
Of course you do not have a great deal of time to explore but you can plan it out and hit some of the city's highlights.

Road trip was fascinating - the landscape was breathtaking. Had a lovely luncheon at thE ABBA HOTEL ROOFTOP BAR. Views were spectacular! Our Tour Guide was stellar! So sweet, caring, knowledgeable and informative.

It was a long day but definitely worth it when you get to Sevilla it’s such a beautiful city with so much history it’s a must see city! The last helping on the bus was amazing and very helpful, if you know your time arriving at Sevilla I would advise to book tours as the lines can be very long just to save yourself some time!

We had a horrible experience with MTS global. The communication was non existent bar one message on a portal, with no notification of this. The pick up location and time were not what was stated on the thickets.
The customer service when I called the tour operator was appalling. She was rude, uncompassionate and overall very unprofessional as she didn't care what I had to say as she already taken the money for the service.

If you are based in algarve then this trip gives you the opportunity to visit Seville across the land border. If you plan in advance then you can cover a lot in Seville as you get around 4 hours to spend for yourself. Also at this time of the year the time zones between portugal and spain differ by an hour.

Sadly we discovered it was just a bus ride to Seville . We didn’t even get picked up or dropped off at our hotel . There was No TOUR . Seville was beautiful . We walked around and discovered the beautiful cafes . Cathedral is a must , Park du Spain

The trip was good. The tour guide spoke a number of languages and gave a lot of timely information. Seville is worth the visit. It’s beautiful, cheap and full of local shops. Only downfall is the company changed pick up time from 7 to 6 and from hotel to further away.
