Love these hop on - hope off buses. You have a lot of flexibility in seeing the city. We usually ride the entire route and note which stops look most interesting to us. On the second time around, we get off to see the places that are of interest. Drivers are helpful in helping you find the places you'd most like to see.
Easy to catch from cruise dock, great way to get awesome views from aisla viewpoint and easy to get to the aquarium, which is a must see.
Another great tour. Good English commentary with a good mix of information. With two cruise ships in port at the same time it could have been chaos but the ticketing was handled quickly and efficiently with no delays.
Great tour. Free WiFi on bus allowed us to share bus ride/sights with family 12000 miles away. Great service.
Please alter website so number of persons /tickets can be printed on one page we had lost page two indicating two tickets but operator accepted readily. Great experience. Ray Simpson
The hop-on hop-off buses were good. The only thing was that when there are a few cruise ships, the buses get crowded and you have to wait for the second bus. They need more buses making the trip.

Nice city tour. Spectacular view from hilltop at one of the many stops. Didn't have enough time to see aquarium before ship was scheduled to leave. Recommend stopping at Hilltop and and aquarium before anything else.
Love the hop on hop off tours, they have been all terrific booked through your company,
It was a good way to overview what little sights were to be seen
Weather was terrible, rainy and cold but the bus was good. Alesund is somewhat spread out and if the weather had been better, it would have been a great tour.
Hop-On Hop-Off Tours are a good value if you have a specific destination or two or if you do not want to get off the bus and just see the sights. The problem with Hop-On Hop-Off is if you just want to quickly see a sight, you have to get off the bus and wait for the next one to come along. This can be anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, which waste a lot of time if you only have a short amount of time to see the sights. Also, it is hard to determine the time the next bus will be at a stop, did you just miss on and the next will be in 45 minutes or is one coming in the next 5 minutes? The headphones worked on the Alesund Hop-On Hop-Off. Over all the Alesund Hop-On Hop-Off was pretty good but as stated above, Hop-On Hop-Off also, has some short comings.
The Hop on hop off bus is the easiest way to see Alesund but they don't run often enough so you spend a lot of time waiting for the bus.
The trip was well worthwhile however although we had booked and paid for the trip two weeks previously with a dedicated time it was more by luck than judgement that we caught the right bus. We still had to wait in a queue to collect our tickets and if there had been two more people had been in front of us we would not have caught the bus and had wait 45 minutes for the next one. DEFINITELY NOT ENOUGH buses with 2 cruise ships in the port - the business you must have lost that day phew. Your staff were aware of the situation its just a another case where senior management refuse to listen to staff on the ground.
They do not come around every 30 minutes like they claim to. It is more like an hour wait.
I booked us for this Hop-on Hop off tour in Alesund but the company was no longer operating, so we did not find this out until we arrived in Alesund via the cruise ship port of call. The company did credit me back, once they did their inquiry. We did take a local ferry to a number of stops and saw the area along the way, which was beautiful!
