Fun Introduction To Amsterdam

We had just arrived in Amsterdam and thought the canal cruise would be the way to start our trip--and it was! Our guide, Mischa ("Mouse") was excellent. He was personable, funny and full of information. We were traveling with another couple and they totally agreed that the cruise was a great introduction to Amsterdam. Mischa's enthusiasm and levity was contagious and everyone on the boat had a great time. The free-flowing wine, beer and munchies also added to the good time!

Great Tour of the Canals!

We had a wonderful experience! Hans, our captain, was knowledgable and very nice. Snacks and drinks on-board were very good. Even though it was raining, the boat was covered and we were nice and dry. We got a great view of the canal sights. We would highly recommend.

This canal cruise was perfect!! Our guide Klaas was fantastic, both humorous and knowledgeable. Each couple received a personal platter with cheese, meat, crackers, fruit and cookies. The beverage selection was excellent, something for everyone, and there was plenty to have as much as you would like. The scenery was gorgeous, and the ride was very relaxing and more enjoyable than our walking tour. We found it to be one of the best ways to see Amsterdam.

Perfect to See Amsterdam

The canal cruise was an amazing way to see Amsterdam! The atmosphere was so fun and the captain shared great stories that helped explain the history of the city. The operator offered to adjust our departure time to ensure that we would have a covered boat, which was very much appreciated when rain rolled through. Highly recommend!!

ABSOLUTELY the best of the Amsterdam Boats Tours!

James was absolutely amazing and this tour is definitely the best! Number one, the boat is SUPER NICE. You pass a lot of other boats on the tour and everyone is super jealous because this boat is definitely the nicest most beautiful one! They also capped it at around ~14 people I want to say? So it was super intimate. my husband and I had our own space and snacks but were also able to make super fin new friends. Next, the snacks are delicious - cheese, fruits, meat... gourmet! The drinks are flowing for sure - and are high quality (trust me... I'm a bit if a snob!) Lastly, James did a great job explaining history and pointing out structures throughout the city. I cannot recommend this trip more highly and I sincerely am so thankful for our time!

The Ultimate Amsterdam Canal Cruise

Pick up point was a walk from our hotel. Trip started on time and was very enjoyable. Our "Captain" and guide was very skilled and informed. Snacks and beverages provided were good and plentiful. Operator was willing to stop and let use off so our walk back to our hotel was much shorter. Would recommend this tour to anyone.

First of all, compared to some of the other boats headed out, I was really delighted with how comfy and well appointed ours was, and it was a comfortable way to have a beautiful tour of the city. There were ample snacks provided and all the wine we wanted. Charming and funny Captain Klass added to the experience, making it both entertaining and informative. Def recommend!"

Great small group tour!

We were really happy with this experience with Pure Boats and would definitely book again. Our guide, Misha, was friendly, informative and funny - and a great captain. The boat was super nice (a lot nicer than many of the other boats we saw going down the canal). They also did a nice job preparing plates of meats, cheese, crackers for each couple - so no one had to share with people outside their group or touch other’s food. Nice selection of drinks too. So glad we did this instead of the giant boats that pack people on. Definitely worth spending a little extra money for the experience. Highly recommend!!

Five star experience

This canal boat trip was the absolute highlight of our stay in Amsterdam. We got lucky with both the tour operators - Micha and Tom - as well as a gentle breeze that followed us throughout our ride. The boat was stunning; probably the nicest looking out of the numerous tour vessels we have seen on the canal, and the quality of the snacks and wine/beer/soda was excellent. There were even fresh flowers on board. In total, there were 16 passengers including our party, but it did not feel cramped as everyone had enough room. You will converse with others in the group as it’s inevitable on a small craft, and be aware there may be families traveling together, so if you are into a romantic voyage you may want to consider a private booking. No surprise that this is rated as the number one experience in the world according to Trip Advisor. It’s definitely for everyone at any age.
