This tour is a definite must-do in Amsterdam. We have been on a few of these tours, but I must say that the captain on this boat kept it interesting with his little known facts. My husband had the beef and thought it was very good. I had the fish and it was okay but nothing exceptional. Crew was efficient and polite, drinks were flowing. This was a wonderful way to end our vacation in Amsterdam.
I was not expecting the quality of the meal that we had! Impeccably served, and delicious. The narrative of the city was great, and I'm pretty sure we went in EVERY canal there was! Champagne toast, and unlimited beer/wine. What not to like!
The dinner was excellent and the sights were terrific. The only negative was that most guests seemed to be local and uninterested in the commentary. We would have liked to hear the information the guide was sharing during the cruise, but that was not possible due to the noise level of many separate conversations. I guess this is just the luck of the draw with fellow travelers, and I would recommend the cruise to get a good overview of Amsterdam.
We enjoyed this cruise. We had a table all to ourselves initially, but struck up a joyful conversation with other travellers at nearby tables. The food was very tasty. The wait staff was friendly and courteous while running a streamlined operation. Amsterdam as viewed from the canals takes on a truly magical presentation at night.
this tour did not disappoint. excellent food, the wine was constantly poured, the servers were nice and the views of amsterdam's canals over the evening were really wonderful. it is pricey but worth it!
We really enjoyed this cruise. Located exactly opposite the ibis hotel at the train station, Go out of the train station and turn right and it's a good 5 min walk along the canal from there... over another bridge. You go down stairs to check in at a booth to collect your tickets and they give you a complimentary drink voucher if you are early, to have in the Lovers Bar upstairs. We sat next to a lovely Italian couple during the dinner cruise. The serving staff were very attentive with water, wine and food. The food was most enjoyable. The captains sense of humour along the way was great. Would highly recommend !
We arrived early for our first sight of Amsterdam - we all arrived from South Africa during the afternoon - the staff were very friendly and offered us a drink while we waited for departure of the boat. The food were delicious - of the tomato soup I could have drank litres! and the commentary gave us a feel of the overall city - thanks a million for a wonderful trip, with friendly young people running a streamlined operation. They were great.
totally relaxing excellent food and able to accommodate a vegetarian in groupand certainly plenty of wine a little tricky finding the place so build in some time for that
there was really minimal commentary which probably suited most people as everybody was with friends/fa,mily so if you want tour guide style information this may not be the choice
