This was a fantastic experience! First off, I haven't rode a bike in like 15 years so that was a concern of mine. Our guide and the bike company took time to make sure that I was on a proper bike, and also that I was comfortable before going out. Our guide also stated that at any time if she felt I was not riding safely she would send me back, and did appreciate that. All in all, I ended up doing well and having a wonderful experience. Seeing Amsterdam on a bike is how it is meant to be seen I think. The city riding was a bit more challenging, especially for this novice, but if I could do it, I think anyone could. Once you were out of the city, the path was a nice quiet path along the river. We rode to a windmill and then to a cheese farm. The farmer was very welcoming and funny and the cheese was delicious. After we took another side tour to a brewery in a windmill since our group was very small, only 3 people the last tour of the season in November 2016. It was a wonderful day that I still talk about. I would definitey recommend this experience.
Great way to see the city and enjoy fresh, lush countryside. Tour guide was extremely friendly and easy to talk to! Learned while having fun and seeing sights.
A must do in Amsterdam!! Mike is funny, full of energy, and has an incredible grasp on the history of the areas through which you ride. She expertly guides you through the busy streets of the city and out into the gorgeous countryside, all at a manageable pace. The bikes are in great condition, and come with pouches for you to put small personal belongings in. We've traveled extensively and this tour is one of the best we have ever taken! The bike shop is easy to find, clean, and organized and all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. We plan on returning to Mike's if we're ever in Amsterdam to rent bikes and explore on our own. There is time to have lunch when you stop at the cheese farm, so I recommend bringing a light lunch or snack, as well as a bottle of water.
The guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We took the ride into the countryside. Amazing how close it was. The bikes were great and they provided rain caes which we needed for a quick shower. It was beautiful and from ages 9 to 66 in our family we all kept pace.
The best biking tour in Adam and we see so many local and interesting things.
Amazing trip with Sam...he was fun funny and very informative...the ride was at an easy pace so no worries if you're not an avid rider...interesting stops...the only other thing is bring a snack and we did this trip in October so another layer or gloves may be necessary..have fun...best thing we did in Amsterdam
Excellent tour led by Lyle, or was it Kyle, an American transplant. He knew great amounts of Dutch and city history, a wealth of knowledge!!! It was a short but fun trip to the countryside. We got to see cheese making as well as wooden shoe making. The city is much more fun of 2 wheels.
This experience was amazing. I strongly recomend you to go cycle with them, specially Mike, the rocky blond woman!
Bike experience great, a bit scary getting through the city. Not used to so many bikes!! Pete and Mike the guides were great. Good bikes, a good bit of excerise and day out.
It was so much fun! Highly recommended!!!
