This food tour was one of the best we have ever done anywhere. Our guide Olav was incredible. He explained the history of Amsterdam as we were walking toward the food market. We tasted so many Dutch foods from herring to their waffles. The small size of this tour makes it very personal.

We try to do a food tour whenever we travel. My favorite was the fish shop. I normally would not eat herring, but the herring was incredible! We tried two different recipes. We also had mussels, eel and cod. Everything was very fresh. We stopped at 4 other places. My second favorite was for cheese, beer and bitterballs.

Excellent tour guided by Anna Maria. Met Anna Maria at the Museumplein and began our walking tour. Received a history lesson of Amsterdam as well as samples of Amsterdams cuisine. Anna Maria customized the tour for us as we are vegetarians. We had a variety of food Indonesian, fries, the best ever stroopwaffle, and cheese and wine. We visited the Abert Cuyp Market which was amazing. Anna Maria was very interesting and shared many traveling tips. High recommend this tour.

We had a great food tour with AnnaMaria. It was the perfect way to start our time in Amsterdam. AnnaMaria was full of information about the food scene and took us to a variety of places to taste local foods and drink. She was fun, full of personality and gave us great history and information. Later we text her about a place we had gone as we could not remember the name to go back and she promptly was happy to help. Would highly recommend AnnaMaria for your Amsterdam food tour!

I had a wonderful experince on the Amsterdam Food Tour. My guide was very insightful into the local food scene and took me to places that were not in tourist areas. She was very professional and had a passion for food and the culture of Amsterdam. I have been on many food tours in European cities and this ranks up with the best. I truely had a great time.

One of my favorite tours in Amsterdam! Although we had a rough start since my friends and I had a tough time finding the meeting point which was at the Cafe by the big I Amsterdam sign in front of the museum it was an amazing experience to eat as the locals eat. We had our own private tour for our group of 8 so we went on our own pace. Our tour guide Erica was great! She was very informative and really allowed us to eat a variety of different foods- some salty, and some sweet. She took us to the local market at Albert Cuypt where we tried brined herring it tasted like sashimi, fried herring loved it, oliebollen which is only during the winter time, a ball of chocolate goodness, had some beer and cheese at a local bar, some stroopwafels at the original stall who began making them they are so much better warm and freshly made, and we ended at a Surmise restaurant where we had 3-4 different snacks. All the foods were very delicious and tasty. We wouldn't have gotten to try or even thought about trying these foods if we didn't go on this tour! Erica was also nice enough to let us try some pfoferties since the guy selling them was there even though it wasn't part of our tour. She was very patient with us especially some of us got distracted with the other vendors down Albert Cuypt, and she was very enthusiastic about sharing the local foods with us. I've done several food tours in different cities and I always love doing them because you get to eat what locals eat, learn about the culture, and also get some pointers on where to eat and what to do in the city! You will leave with a full stomach and some leftovers! Just make sure you bring some water!
