It's really mesmerizing. This is the best way to explore city in very economical price. I got discount from Viator so it's more value for money. best time to explore the city is either morning or evening before sunset.
Great tour guide bus. Very easy to fine the pick up points. We got the bus and boat option. We really enjoyed it. The guides and drivers were all
Lovely. Great value for money and it lasts for 24hrs once to you start your ticket. I would definitely recommend it
I was really looking forward to touring in Amsterdam, but instead, I found the hop-on-hop-off a waste of time. There was very little communication from the tour guide and mostly talked about the museums. The canal boat ride was also very boring. One of my friends feel asleep during the ride.
I will say that the boats and busses were very clean and well maintained and the employees were professional and courteous. However, finding the designated stops, even using the app, wasn't always that easy. The other negative is that these tours only run from 11-5, so if you go to a museum and grab a bite afterward, you're using up a lot of time you've paid to use the hop-on-hop-off. We did the two day option thinking that we could use this as a mode of transportation to go from area to area. This is probably possible if you have a well-planned itinerary that factors in the hop-on-hop-off stops. For us, where we would meander down streets taking in the beauty of this city while strolling to our next planned stop, it was basically a waste of money. The walk to find the next closest hop-on-hop-off stop was essentially the same as just walking to the next planned location. My recommendation is to do a one-time guided tour of the canals (try it at night when the canals are illuminated) and skip the hop-on-hop-off off altogether. Use your legs to get you around or use the tram to get you to destinations that may be uncomfortable for some to walk. A bike is also another excellent way to get around the city and view the amazing architecture.
This is an excellent way to get around Amsterdam. We got the 2 day and it was fun and informative. I would suggest to the company to give a bigger discount for the second day because although we used it for just 2 full rounds on the third trip we got off and enjoyed the scenery. I think more people would get a second day if it were cheaper. I would suggest buy one day on the bus and one day on the boat since they go to very similar areas to save a bit of money. Everything is in walking distance and the stops are virtually in the same area for both,
