What You Can Expect

Guided Amsterdam Evening Canal Cruise Including Wine and Cheese

Enjoy an evening Canal Cruise

Step aboard a glass-enclosed boat near Amsterdam Central Station for your 2-hour evening canal cruise, and get settled in at a table. Your host will serve red and white wine — after a long day of traveling or sightseeing, indulge in this opportunity to sit back, relax and sip your wine as you take in the sights. Enjoy snacks from the platter of Dutch cheese and nuts on your table.

Travel along through the city center and the Red Light District, one of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, where historical bridges and red-lit windows are softly reflected in the water. Listen to live commentary on board about the landmarks and attractions you pass along the way.

The Golden Bend, a stretch of stately mansions, as well as the Herengracht, Amstel and Oudezijds canals, all drift within view. Admire the sight of Amsterdam’s 5-star Grand Hotel, lit up against the sky.

Glide past Oosterdok, the city’s eastern docks, before navigating back to the departure point, where your cruise ends.

We had a lovely time on this tour. I went with a friend and we were worried it would be a bit too 'coupley' but we didn't have to worry. Yes, it could be romantic as you as in candlelight but we found it really serene and scenic.

The staff were great - especially the young waiter Michael who chatted away with us and even sang Happy Birthday to me. He kept our wine regularly topped up and we were more than a little tipsy by the time we got off!

We didn't have to share a table but the cruise didn't look fully booked - it may have been because it was a Sunday night in February.
