If you're wandering Amsterdam on your own, this card is a must! If for no other reason, it's worth it for the free public transport. There was a tram stop right outside our hotel, and this card allows you to hop on and off whenever and wherever you want. So convenient. There's also a variety of discounts, and a map. Again, worth every penny.
Two important tips:
1. You have to collect the card at the Tourist Info Center, directly across from the central train station. It's easy enough to find. But you do have to get there first.
2. Downstairs, in the same building, is Cafe Loetje. Stop in for a beer and some bitterballen. You'll be glad you did.
Four of us used the IAm Amsterdam City Card 72 hrs. . Hopped on and off trams also did the 1 hr canal trip . Easy to use and to get about , we ran out of time to use all the attractions on the card .
The city pass saved us loads of money, so easy to hop on the trams and not worry about payment. The free canal trip was a lovely relaxing trip to see around the city. Would definitely buy again.
We purchased the 2-day I Amsterdam card for our recent trip to the Netherlands and got good value for the money. We were able to use it for three museum visits, tram transport throughout the city and a canal cruise. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to cram a lot of activities into a short stay in Amsterdam.
You could spend a lifetime trying to see all that Amsterdam has to offer. This card helped me a lot on my solo trip to the city. The next time I'm there, I'll definitely be using this card again.
My three days in Amsterdam did not make me an expert. But I can encourage those who are wondering whether to visit that it's marvelous whether you are on a tour or going without guidance. First of all, it's a very easy city to navigate. The I Amsterdam card makes travel very inexpensive on the trams, and most of the museums are free or discounted. Getting to the city from the airport by train is relatively easy, except that there isn't much room for luggage on a full train. Once you are settled in, you can get everywhere without fear. We saw the vanGogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum, and the Troppen Museum a special gem, as well as a number of other sites. The Anne Frank Huis, not on the card, usually requires advance reservations. I downloaded my tickets 2 months before I arrived. The card also allows you one canal boat cruise. It's a great way to learn a lot of the history of the city by way of the audio guide, which comes in about ten languages. There is dining to suit every taste, from fast food to fine dining. We never did see the Red Light District, which is to my thinking rather hyped up. There are numerous coffee shops that sell marijuana in one form or another. Just remember that you are often walking near a canal! I have no idea how strong the various wares they sell really are, but exercise caution. The people in Amsterdam are almost without exception very friendly. Many of them do smoke. I was really shocked. And if they are on a bike, which is all of them, you may get run over if you're not really careful. All in all, Amsterdam is truly a four season delight.
As with all city cards they are worth the money but plan your trip to get the full benefits of the cards

We had the 48 hour pass and made great use of it. The inclusion of transportation was great even though most of Amsterdam is walkable - we did use the trains and buses. The admissions allowed easy access to city highlights and the canal cruise is a nice included feature. I highly recommend getting the pass if you are spending some time in the city.
All inclusive plus many free entrances....museums canal rides....
Everything was so easy. Trams, buses, metro, we just jumped on and off all around the city. The canal trip and the visits to the museums etc were really good. For us it was good value for money.
This worked great for our group to be able to pick this up at the Airport and be ready to hit the streets and the canals of Amsterdam. We had a short time but were able to go to multiple museums and enjoy the canal tour on our card. We also took advantage of catching the numerous trams around the city.
We were able to travel around on transit and get oriented to the city. We also got free or reduced admission to several attractions, including museums. And we had a wonderful canal cruise. Well worth the money.
This is a deal that is well worth it for those visiting Amsterdam.
I loved Amsterdam. The City Pass made it so easy to see the highlights. I plan to return soon.
It was great city pass for museums and getting around the city on public transportion. The canal ride was wonderful.
I used my card on trams and buses every day, and had discounted entry to museums, and to the Eye cinema.
The whole experience made my visit to Amsterdam much smoother and trouble free. I will be sure to use it again on my next visit.
I purchased a 48 hour city card and can highly recommend it. The card covers all trains, buses and trams in the city, with the exception of the train from the airport. I found the trams very easy to use and they covered the areas I wanted to see. The card also gives free entry to most museum and discounts on food and in several shops. Well worth getting.
Awesome and so worth it. We used it for not only tours, but the tram and discounts on food. I would definitely purchase this again.
the Amsterdam Card was really helpful in getting us around town and into attractions. Amsterdam is a wonderful city with so much to see and do. Glad to see this program is also available in other cities.
