Great tulip tour

Loved going on a semi-private tulip tour. Much better than going to the crowded, commercial places. Was able to walk amongst the tulips and even pick some.

Exceeded our expectations in every way

This tour exceeded our expectations in every way. The meet-up location and the tour guides were easy to find. The luxury tour bus was clean and comfortable for our small group. Our tour guide, Roel, was fantastic. You could tell by his interactions with us that his priority was to ensure that every person on the tour had a great time. Having been a tulip bulb farmer himself, and coming from several generations of tulip growers, Roel shared his knowledge about tulips in a very engaging way, and really made it an interesting topic. We learned so much about tulip bulb farming that we'd never learn elsewhere. During the tour we visited three bulb farms, and all three were stunning. We liked that we were able to get right out into the fields and had the opportunity to talk to some of the farmers who were working. The water windmill tour was just as fascinating. Again, we got to tour all floors of the windmill (built in 1637 and still going!) and see the inner workings in action, including the blades and the sails. The museum attached to the windmill had a helpful movie about the history of the mill, too. Another highlight was the fantastic buffet lunch (included in the cost) we had at a local country restaurant. The food was all fresh and locally sourced. You also had the opportunity to purchase beer or wine at the restaurant if you wanted to. The tour never dragged. It was just the right amount of time out in the fields, in the windmill, and on the bus. We can't recommend this tour more highly.

This was such an amazing trip! I highly recommend- you will not be disappointed! The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, the tulip farms were beautiful, and I particularly loved the permission to pick 10 tulips from their own field at the beginning of the trip.

The tour has exceeded my expectations. Away from the crowds and stunning tulip Farms. The farmers Mike and Rue were really knowledgeable and fun to talk to. The Lunch spread was good. It was still early for the blooming season but they made sure we witness several farms that had beautiful tulips. One of the best day trips I've taken.

A Personal Experience & Charming

This is no cattle-herding excursion! The guides and driver are native to the tulip-growing communities. This is important because the group had a charming authentic Dutch lunch at a local restaurant/pub and had quite a few chats with tulip experts and a real-life windmill caretaker. Highly recommend!

Mike was our tour guide and we were collected in Overhoeksplain 51.We started the tour on time.We went to a windmill museum and the highlight of the tour was taking photos in the tulip bulb fields.We’re also allowed to pick tulips and take home with us for free.We had free lunch and a choice of tea,coffee or cold drinks overlooking the tulips.And the weather was lovely that day.
