After you arrive in Anchorage and before your cruise ship departs Whittier port, take advantage of your extra time to explore Anchorage and Whittier on a 4-hour tour. Choose pickup from the International Anchorage Airport or your accommodation in Anchorage.
Board a tram up Mt Alyeska, where you can visit the Roundhouse Museum. Peruse the artifacts and exhibits about pioneer skiers in Alaska's only mountaintop museum, then take in the panoramic mountain and glacier views.
Your next activity is a guided tour with the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing injured and orphaned animals. See Alaskan animals like caribou, elk, moose and bears.
Throughout the course of the tour, you'll make plenty of stops for photos and breaks at scenic viewpoints. Sip bottled water and eat provided snacks when you get hungry. You'll be dropped off at the Whittier cruise port in time for your ship's departure.
When booking, please provide your ship name and departure time.
Worry-free Shore Excursion: If you choose to be picked up from the Anchorage International Airport and your flight lands on time, we will ensure your timely arrival at the Whittier port for this transfer. In the rare event your cruise ship has departed, we will arrange for transportation to the next port-of-call. However, if your flight is delayed, your transfer is no longer covered by our worry-free policy. See our terms and conditions for full details.
