Embark on a day tour of Lake Titicaca, a large mountain lake that serves as a natural border between Peru and Bolivia. Depart your Puno hotel (Puno is a 4-hour drive from Peru's second most populous city, Arequipa) for port, then set out via motorboat toward the floating Uros Islands. Visit two of these dozens of man-made islands—each constructed from native reeds found in the lake's shallow waters—and learn about their distinct inhabitants and culture as you go. Next, continue to Taquile island, home to some of Peru's best weavers.
This was a wonderful tour and as photographers we're so happy we had this experience!
This tour was lovely, we were lucky to get a beautiful weather. Views were amazing, people were so lovely, food great and was nice to see how the locals live
Shafali and Safina
Interesting trip. Great value for money.
A well-planned and executed tour. The stops were interesting and memorable. The only negative: or tour group was a bit on the larger side, so the place was a bit slower and we didn and #39;t get as many questions in to the guide. Be prepared for cold, wet weather if you go in July.
