Meet your guide, Fabio, a professional chef, at his home in Arezzo, a traditional farmhouse in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. After a typical Italian welcome, head to the kitchen to discover the delights of Tuscany’s world-renowned cuisine.
Under the expert guidance of Fabio and his wife, set to work making a variety of dishes, using fresh meat, vegetables, and olive oil purchased from the local markets. Depending on your group’s preference, learn to make tasty appetizers such as fried Coccoli ham and soft cheese, fried tripe, chicken liver croutons, or Lampredotto. For the main course, perhaps whip up some delicious potato ravioli, penne with lamprey, or classic Tuscan dish, Peposo a l' Imprunetana. Finish it off with the region’s typical dessert — Cantuccini cookies with Vin Santo.
Finally, sit down in the dining area, or in the garden if the sun is shining, to enjoy your home-cooked feast, accompanied by a selection of Italian wines.
Your tour ends after lunch or dinner, and you’ll be given the recipes to take home with you.
