Super cool trip! we got to see the rugged side of Aruba as well as an awesome ocean front. By private they mean private, not small groups. The guides are super friendly and personable we HIGHLY recommend it.

My wife and I had an awesome time on this tour both in our mid 20s. She had ridden horses competitively as a teen, but I had very minimal experiences with horses, so I was very nervous. It took me a little bit to get used to the horse, but about 20 minutes in I felt very comfortable. The horses are taught to walk. They never run or trot, so we never lost control. The best thing we like about the tour was that it was private. It was just the two of us with a guide. The ranch says they only do private tours, and that made the experience quite worth it. We absolutely recommend El Paseo Ranch for this tour!

My husband and I went on this tour during our honeymoon and it was an incredible experience! The horses were beautiful and very well taken care of, the driver that provided the pickup/drop off was very friendly and our tour guide did a great job of leading us through the trail and helping us keep the horses in line. We did the private sunset tour and it was so romantic and serene, I highly recommend that one if you're able to do it! This was a highlight of our honeymoon for me, couldn't have asked for more!

The leaders of the horse ride were very nice and well trained. They were VERY patient with us and gave us a quick tutorial on how to steer the horses. They took us around Aruba's National Park and we got to breathtaking views. I wore shorts and had a towel but I would suggest wearing pants as instructed because there are various cacti bushes around and there is a possibly that you could scrape them if your horse isn't steered correctly. It was a rocky trail but the horses were able to stand their ground and walk as needed. The horses looked well taken care of and seemed to enjoy the walk. The only think I would be aware of are the many gnats at the actual ranch. There were loose chickens, roosters, and an occasional dog and I'm assuming with that and possibly the vegetation and soil, it attracts bugs. I would wear sunglasses and a bandana around the mouth when starting. But after you get into the trail, no more bugs, just beautiful sights! Also, we went in the morning so it was not hot at all and we had the chance to see the sun rise over the ocean while riding our horses! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

Eugene was charming, informative and talkative during our tour and ride to the ranch. He informed me that I may have a private ride due to a family of 6 already on tour. Apache, the tour guide and owner of the ranch took me out for my ride and it was truely amazing. This was the highlight of my trip

It was a great trip. We really enjoyed the experience. Unfortunately, we never received the pictures that were made and that we were told would be sent. We were really looking forward to seeing those.

On 7th June my daughter's and wife booked the small horseback ride and island tour in Aruba but through Viator back home despite the fact that none of the group having any previous experience at all with riding horses. We confirmed the booking a couple of days before through the tour rep at our hotel and arranged a 6am pick_up using the paperwork printed prior to travelling here. At 6am transport arrived with driver Rodney an extremely friendly chap and a colourful character to boot. After a 15min ride across the island we arrived at el paseo ranch where we were introduced to Eugene, Rodney s brother and he quickly ran us through basic instructions on how to steer/ride his horses safely. We mounted our chosen steed and then set off on the trail around the island. As novice riders we were relatively slow and my horse'known as captain led the way from the girls. Let me add I am no Clint Eastwood and this was not my comfort zone but with Eugene and brownie the dog for company as well as my intelligent mount I never once felt unsafe or uncomfortable even with one of the stirrups temporarily cutting in to my shin. We walked the horses over the peaks and on a trail across to the other part of the island catching the early morning waves and breezes as they crashed up against the shore. The route led us back to the ranch lasting over an hour whilst Eugene ran along taking photographs. The girls enjoyed their first experience particularly when I fell out the stirrups discounting at the end which was apparently hilarious to them all. We would sincerely recommend this tour no matter how much experience you have horseriding and would like to thank Eugene, brownie, princess, eartquake, blanco and the captain for the experience and Rodney of course. If you are doing a tour on the island this is the one to do and we only wish we had shown more appreciation to Eugene at the time but we are learning fast! Thanks again and we hope to see you again!

My mother and I went on a private ride and it was a beautiful sight of the island and the northeast coast. The ranch personnel were very accommodating as we did not want to the drive tour, since we had our own vehicle. We drove to the ranch and it reminded me of home. I'm from New Mexico, U.S.A and the ranch looked exactly like the southwest, country cowboy culture. The horses were easy to ride on the trail and are a perfect desert horse. I also appreciate the help that was given to my mom to assist her on and off the horse, and when she lost something to the wind, the gentleman Eugene went and retrieved it for her. Easy paced and suited to our amateur riding.

Booked the sunset small group ride for 5. It ended up being a private tour which was great. Our two guides were friendly and kept an eye on everyone. One offered to take several pictures of our group with my camera so we could capture the memories. It was an overcast day so the sunset was not as pretty as it could have been but we still had a fantastic view of the entire island when we reached the highest point of our ride. We rode through the desert countryside, near the ocean, and up a mountain. The ranch dog even accompanied our ride. The horses appeared to be healthy and were pretty docile. My family ranging in age from 13 to 69 all enjoyed the tour.

Beautiful ride through Aruba! Very low-key but a great way to see both sides of the island.

The experience was like no other never been on horse it was great the disappointment was the fact they need to watch how they word this tour because it says you'll see wildlife which we saw absolutely none, NEVER SAW ISLAND IN a air conditioned vehicle, never went to the Baby Natural Bridge, the lighthouse or the Gold Mine or chapel. The horses were great very gentle and are tour guide was very helpful getting me up and down from the horse. We did ride along the shoreline which was nice. If it wasn't for the gentleness of the horse I would probably give this a 2 star

Eugene our guide was friendly and knowlegeable. The ride itself was great. unfortunately our guide took many pictures that he promised to send to us via email that he has not done. This was our honeymoon and thus a very important trip to remember. His inability or unwillingness to follow through on his promise is very disappointing and has marred an otherwise good experience.

My wife's horse couldn't keep up with the other horses and the guides only stopped once or twice for her, so almost the entire time she was left behind and was scared she'd be lost in the park. In addition, there were a LOT of bugs and mosquitos the entire ride, and with Zika issues in Aruba, they should have stressed the need for long pants, long shirts, bug spray, etc which they did not.

When we arrived the place was closed. A security guide from a hotel was sleeping in the house. Told that the scheduled tour guide fdidn't show got too drunk the night before. He was very nice person and saddled our horses and took us for a tour but he couldn't ride. So we went on a horseback tour with a walking guide. Never saw the beach as described. Complete rip off. Told the owner was out of the country.
Transport to and from the hotel wa fine.
