James did a wonderful job taking us around Aruba and telling the background of different areas. The BBQ lunch was at a little restaurant and was great. I think we saw all the highlights of the island and we were not rushed. Since we were on the Caribbean Princess, James took us to the port area to drop us off. We did use a cab to go to the Tamjarim Hotel for pickup in the morning. The cab ride was 12 and everything went like clockwork. Highly recommended.
This excursion was definitely worth the time and expense!!!! Our tour guide, James, was informed and on time. My favorite was driving through the island, passing the beaches, seeing the landscape and going through the caves in the National Park the steps into the cave are steep and the walkway is narrow in a few spots. The lunch was OK, but tasted great because I was so hungry. I was disappointed that no rum punch was available, as the excursion indicates, however, there was plenty of complimentary sodas and bottled water. I would suggest you pack a few light snacks particularly if you have kids or young adults, as our trip lasted 7.5 hours.. The bathrooms along the way were very nice and clean but come at a price, 1 per person. We ended our tour at Baby Beach, known for its swallow beaches but there was a good snorkeling spot as well. We learned that Baby Beach is about 20 miles from Venezuela. I can't say enough about this excursion except that I would recommend it to people of all ages and I would do it again! Thank You James and Pelican Adventures
Victor did an excellent job showing us the island. Stick with chicken st the BBQ.
We had a good time. The tour was fun and our driver/tour guide was excellent. We got to see Aruba's beautiful landmarks and enjoyed the tour very much. Highly recommended!
absolutely loved it . . . especially the cave tour . . . the entire family loved it!
Really fun tour, very knowledgeable interactive guide Victor!. The tour visits all the significant landmarks and national parks, and Victor shares his knowledge about Aruba's history and the development of its infrastructure during the short drives along the way. I loved the food at the BBQ cafe we visited for lunch the highlight for me was the bats in the most remote chamber of the Guadirikiri Cave. Final stop was Baby Beach, where we snorkeled and swam in beautiful waters. Our tour had six guests, so there was plenty of room on the open-air bus. Was much more comfortable than being on the other company's tour vehicles, where 16 people were packed onto a modified truck bed. Highly recommend this tour, and leave a big tip for Victor, whose patience knows no bounds.
Tour was both informative and entertaining. Roscia, our guide, kept us informed and on time. He was extremely patient and nurturing to my daughters who were reluctant to explore the cave in the National Park. They were persuaded to step outside their comfort zone and happy they did. Well done
Good fun and a good way to see the island. Victor was great and the rum punch tasty.
Victor was nice and knew the history well. Bus was on time and ran good. Kids were free so a plus!! Perfect tour if you want something not to loud or off road. Good for all age groups.
Victor was interesting, informative and delightful. I would recommend him and the trip to anyone wanting to see what is on the island.
The tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour.
excellent tour of the Island, Victor was very knowledgeable and jolly, his rum punch was lethal, a very enjoyable day.
This was really one of the best days of my life! Saw so many beautiful sights including the caves, the beautiful church, the fabulous views and snorkeling at Baby beach. The people were wonderful and our tour guide Victor was exciting, fun and FABULOUS!!!
Great tour. The guide was excellent. The open bus was a good way to travel across the Island.
Victor did a great job. Was disappointed that the ad read Unlimited rum punch and other beverages on the bus But you only got beverages at 3 stops. Great tour to to see a lot on one day. Lunch was good! at La Granja restaurant.
It was great to see all the sites but it was so quick and I didn't think there was enough time to spend at each spot. 10 minutes was all we had. However, the driver was so funny and very informative. He was super enthusiastic about everything Aruba and it was contagious. Lunch was very good. Definitely enjoyed that.
Victor was very kind and knowledgeable about the island. While we were on a schedule, it didn't feel too rushed and was a great way to see the major highlights without driving yourself. Lunch was decent... nothing fancy, but I walked away feeling nourished.
Note: Aruba is VERY windy, so if that bothers you, an open air bus tour isn't for you. On the plus side, the wind ensured that we were cool the entire ride.
Our guide, Victor, was so great! Lots of good information and humor! We enjoyed every stop we made and of course the rum punch was good!
Excellent tour, it was nearly empty though! A whole bus, but it was only the tour guide, my boyfriend and myself, and one other couple. Since it was just us, the timeline was pretty lax which was nice. The beach was great, lighthouse was under construction so not much to see there. The highlight was definitely the bat caves! The rum punch was supposedly unlimited, but wasn't really offered to us, we had to ask for it. No big deal. Lunch was pretty good, definitely more than enough food!! The chicken was delicious. Be prepared for tons of wind!! Tie your hair up and wear large sunglasses! Don't forget your bathing suit, towel and sunscreen. Good value for money, would recommend
Visit to interesting landmarks of the island, including the old lighthouse, the first Catholic chapel and the famous natural bridge. Highlights for the Arikok caves and Arashi Beach. The guide was very enthusiastic and always willing to help and explain everything. Simple but very tasty lunch included.
Very enjoyable. Very fairly priced compared to all of the alternatives.
After a very big mix-up with the place that I was told to meet the bus (almost an hour wait and calls to the office), the tour was very late, but he gave us more time at the end. Thereafter the tour was really interesting and very good. Often the group had to ask many questions of the tour leader as he was not always very chatty and informative, but always very nice. I liked it.
