90-minute semi-submarine cruise from Oranjestad
Get underwater views on this semi-submarine tour in Aruba
See the Antilla, the largest shipwreck in the Caribbean
Find your way to Oranjestad's the De Palm Pier in time for the tour's 11:30am departure. Board a transfer boat bound for the Seaworld Explorer, waiting for your group near Aruba's Arashi Reef. Once you climb into the semi-sub, descend into the glassed-in viewing space, submerged just under the surface of the water. Your captain will navigate around the teeming reef, providing commentary about the underwater world. A marine expert is on hand to answer any questions. Move on to the Antilla, a 423-foot (128 meter) German freighter destroyed during World War II. Now only partially submerged in about 60 feet (20 meters) of water, it is a popular place for both underwater animals and bird life. Return to shore after 90 minutes.

Beautiful view and nice experience. A bit of motion sickness boy definitely happy I did it. Would recommend
Had a great time on the semi-sub. We saw a wreck and a ton of fish. Our guide was Angie and she was fantastic. Such a lovely lady and had us laughing the whole time. She had a great personality and made the trip a lot of fun. Would highly recommend this excursion
We reserved our spots well in advance for this Semi-Sub trip from DePalm Pier in Aruba. This was a stop on our cruise itinerary and, since we have been to Aruba several times, were looking for something different to do.
We took the bus from Oranjestad up to the Pier between the Riu and HIlton Resorts and checked in. It was a little bit of a wait before starting, but the tour was very interesting, and our friendly guide Angie was so informative about the reef and the sunken Antilla's history. This is a wonderful sightseeing option for any age.
My boyfriend and I came to Aruba for the first time and wanted to explore the sea tour options. This tour was great for us as it was more on the affordable side and we got to see similar things that we believe we would have been able to see on a full submarine tour. The tour boat/submarine departed conveniently from the Palm Pier dock which was near the high rise hotels (walking distance) and since we were staying at the Marriott Surf Club it was just a 10min walk. The tour ran approx 2hrs and consisted of half the time on a boat ride above water and the other half on the semi-submarine ride which we got to see some of the deep water fishes, coral, and even a sunken ship! The tour guide was very friendly and funny and made the experience very entertaining for us. If you are looking for a nice leisurely water tour both above and below water this is the way to go!
