Even in the low season end of November, the classes are running. Had a fantastic time with Eva and our group made up of an interesting mix of American ExPats, Canadian, Chinese, Dutch, and Scottish folks on Thanksgiving in Athens. the restaurant is easy to find and in a lovely, large private room, you get excellent instruction on how to make Spanakotiropita, Tzatziki Dip, roasted lamb with potatoes, zucchini balls, Dolmadakia gialantzi- vegetarian, Greek salad Horiatiki, and a Yogurt dessert with lemons. Everyone got along so well and we all got to sit out on the patio and enjoy our own prepared foods together with a glass of wine included.
I have some food intolerances especially onion and garlic and Eva was able to accommodate me, having my food separately made by me and cooked separately. Great service there, as not everyone is able to accommodate so easily. Would love to do a cooking class everywhere I travel, if it's as good as this one!
This was amazing!!! Worth every cent, by far our favorite part of our trip to Greece! Don and #39;t miss out on this one!!!
So much fun! Learned to make many Greek dishes, I continue making the Spinach pie. The atmosphere was great and then you get to eat the enormous amount of food you made...

Kudos to Fofi... she is excellent teacher. Her assistant was very helpful, thorough and entertaining also.We prepared a traditional cuisine with fresh seasonal items. We enjoyed all the history behind Greek preparation and cooking style. I can't rave enough . The class and the dining experience. Highly Recommended. Thank You for the excellent experience .
Fofi was a fantastic guide to the world of Greek cooking. She was full of entertaining and educational anecdotes about the food we were making and about Greek history. The number of students was just right for cooking a meal and conversing as we ate together afterwards. This is a very well done class, I can't recommend it highly enough.
We had a great time. It was informative and fun and we enjoyed eating everything in restaurant environment. Cant wait to get home and try the recepes myself. Recommend this
After being dropped at the wrong end of the street and having to walk and. Ask directions 5 times we finally arrived 10 minutes late after a 35 minute hike. Not a good start. But things only got better from there and our group of 6 were soon settled in the very comfortable and we'll set up room for our lesson. Fofi quickly made us feel at home and showed her love and knowledge of Greek cooking. Over the next 1.5 hours or so we all made pr prepared roast lamb and potatoes, spanakopita, zucchini balls, tzatziki, and a lemon desert. I may have forgotten one or two, yes, dolmathes. Once the lesson was over we were seated out at the Tavern Diavlos and served our meal. This was the ideal way to finish the evening even though we just could not manage to get through all the food we had prepared. Later in the evening we witnessed a massive storm with sheet lightning and thunder and people scurrying for cover. However, we were all very happy sitting the refinishing our meal and drinks and enjoying a very Grek experience. We would recommend this to anyone, even if you don't know one end of a kitchen from the other.
Wonderful experience! We had a great time preparing the food and of course eating what we had prepared. I would highly recommend this tour!
Fofi the teacher was great- passionate about real Greek cooking and ingredients, she was inspirational. She made sure the children in the group of 14 were included and happy. We ate the many dishes we helped to create - well tried to eat, there was a lot! My advice is to go to the class very hungry!
Really great experience. I would highly recommend it to any age group. Fofi is unbelievably friendly and makes the class very easy and fun!
I had a brilliant experience at the Greek Cooking Class in Athens Tavern, loved the company, and to prepare and eat your own food, new experience for me.
This was a really fun and delicious evening. The instructor was really fun and the food was amazing. I also really enjoyed meeting and spending the evening th the other participants. The atmosphere of the tavern was also relaxing.
This class is so wonderful, and Eva the instructor is fantastic. We got recipes of all the dishes we prepared to bring home. The dishes we prepared were things that Eva cooks for her own family, and they were all things I definitely see preparing again. I highly recommend this class to anyone who likes cooking and wants to learn about Greek culture and cuisine. It's a lot of fun.
The cooking class was one of our favorite things we did while in Greece! Hands down the best food we ate all week. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
This was such a fun experience! Eva was so much fun to learn from, very knowledgeable, and the food was fantastic! Would highly recommend.
This was a wonderful experience - Eva was an amazing hostess. She not only instructed us in the cooking of the meal which was delicious but provided information about the family experience in preparing a meal. There were 5 in our class so it was very intimate. A must do for anyone who enjoys traditional Greek food!
Eva was warm and entertaining. There were only 2 of us, but it was a fun and delicious evening. I would do it again!
This was definitely a highlight of my vacation. The Instructor was great and the class was really fun. I recommend this for everyone.
Excellent. Would recommend highly. Do prepare that this event takes all evening.
