Bus picked us up at the hotel on time and we headed to the port after collecting other passengers. The day unfortunately was grey and overcast with a steady drizzle. Seas looked fairly calm as we eft the port BUT the ride to Hydra was unfortunately quite rough. Toilets were well occupied on the ride as quite a lot of persons were sea sick- including myself. HOWEVER.... it was worth losing my breakfast. Sailing into Hydra was an experience - the view of the town, houses on the hills etc breath taking and memorable. Poros - most shops were closed as the winter season and Aegina - again quite a few shops closed but the bus tour around the island was great and the stop at a traditional restaurant for Greek tapas was nice. Would definitely have been better in sunny weather BUT still a great experience.
This was an amazing deal for what you get to see. I highly recommend this tour.
Great day out on the water, plenty of sights to see on each island. Great music and snacks on board. Recommend
Our small group had a lovely time and relaxing day on this cruise. We would highly recommend it to others. We selected the standard option and were very pleased with this option. The standard option was a good value for all of the items included in the tour transportation, cruise, lunch, greek dancing. We would recommend taking one of the two tours offered on Egina. The bus was right on time for pickup from the hotel in the morning. The crew was very helpful and the boat was clean and well designed for viewing the islands. The lunch buffet was good. It included chicken, fish, pasta, potatoes, rice, greek salad and regular salad along with cake for dessert.
If you are in Athens in December/January like I was during my trip in Jan. 2017, I highly recommend taking this trip. The islands that we went to were beautiful, the staff and crew were great, the onboard entertainment was excellent, and the food was delicious. It's a very long day, but you will enjoy every minute of it. And if you go in December/Jan, then it probably won't be as crowded, which is really nice!
This tour was fantastic. The food on board was fabulous. My girls also enjoyed the Greek Dancing/entertainment.
excellent trip. Our best trip among all others in Athens. It was very well organized. Hydra was the most beautiful of all and looked great on pictures. Food was awesome and there was dance show at the end on our way back to Athens. There was not one dull moment during this entire day and we enjoyed every bit of it.
VIP option was also available , we took standard, but I don't think there was anything less in standard option either
Great day, good service with value for money and time. Would recommend if time poor.
Hydra is a must see!!! The town is stunning and I almost missed the boat leaving as I was so wrapped up in exploring. If this cruise has a fault it is that Hydra is the first island you visit. Because of this I unfairly compared the other islands to Hydra. My big regret is that I did not take the optional tour of Egina and missed the chance to explore more of the island.

WhT a fabulous trip ... definitely do the VIP ... it truly is worth it and me met new friends that are now life long friends from around the world!
This is a really nice trip, and a must do if you are in Athens for 3 or more days. Hydra is a quaint little town. The bus tour in Aegina is worth the additional charge, though if you have three or more in your group, it is likely worth it to hire a cab or rent a car to see the Temple of Aphaea.
The bus picked us up and 90 of the other attendees at hotels around Stygmata square at 7:30 15 minute wait. We left Stygmata square at 7:45 and picked up a few people along the way to the harbor. We went in off-season late November, so boarding the bus and boat was simple, and there was no reason to upgrade to the VIP. This might be different during tourist season. The trip to Hydra was fairly long, but beautiful, and worth the three hours. We had about 50 minutes in Hydra, which is enough time to walk the streets. I am not sure if there is a paid walking tour, but I don't think it would be worth it. The town is tiny and you can't get lost. They recommend a bakery. Not worth it unless you love baklava. The baklava was good. The cream filled baklava was not. Just go on a walk on your own. Get a little lost. Just walk downhill to find your way back.
The lunch on the boat was really very good. There was fish, chicken, and a pasta vegetarian option. Three different salads. It's not like you would pick this as a restaurant to go visit in town, but it was definitely adequate. Definitely, no complaints, though people will always find something to complain about. They had a keyboard player and a singer singing during lunch. They really tried to make it nice.
Poros was more of a leg stretcher. There's really no reason to visit this island. But it's a nice, quick stretch on the way to Aegina, so not complaining. Right where the boat is there are steps up to a viewpoint. It was an easy walk up for us. Though some people seemed to be having difficulty making the climb.
If you are lucky, you will hit Aegina just in time for sunset. The acropolis, or Temple of Aphaea, is worth the drive and long travels. The views are stunning, and the temple is fairly well preserved. When we went there was only our tour group. No one else. Totally fabulous. The bus tour also stopped at the Cathedral Of Saint Nectarios. I think there was a different tour that went to the monastery right next to it. Not sure. The Cathedral is new and still under construction. The island itself is a huge exporter of pistachios. There was a little less than 2 hours on this island. I think i would have liked to spend the whole day here to explore, but if you're just doing the temple and the town, the 2 hours was enough.
The bus was comfortable. The seats on the boat were comfortable too. All said, it was a splendid day.
highlight of holiday.. what a fantastic day.. would advise if you can afford it go vip, we did and was worth every penny of upgrade..we were treated like royalty, and it made our day more special. would def recommend vip..
Great way to see three islands in one day. Highly recommend the VIP add on. Konstantinos, our host was very attentive. The cultural tour on Egina to see temple, not too be missed. We didnt take the walking tour of Hydra. Our fellow VIPers who did didnt think much of it. Fine to walk around on Hydra by yourself.
Lovely, memorable day. We upgraded over concerns related to crowding and jockeying for a good seat however that didn’t seem to be an issue. The upgrade = stress free day: door to door pick up, comfy lounge with reserved in and outdoor seating, and an attentive, charming steward. Highly recommend.
A wonderful way to spend a day. We opted for the regular package and did not regret it. The pick-up from our hotel was on time and we had plenty of time to find a good seat at the front of the boat. We did not go with the full sightseeing package available on board that included a walking tour of Hydra and a bus tour in Egina. We only purchased the Egina tour. It was well worth it.
Hydra is a treat and gives you the feel of a visit to one of the more famous islands. There is ample time to wander around the cobblestone streets and do a little shopping if desired. Poros is the least desirable of the islands with very little to do except walk a bit to stretch your legs. My recommendation is to go to one of the waterfront cafes and order a wonderful lunch to bring back on board as the food is quite dismal on the ship. And as said, the bus tour in Egina including the visit to the Temple of Aphaea and the Greek Orthodox Church was well worth it.
The ship was roomy and comfortable the service was excellent and the Greek entertainment was fun.
The Saturday that we went was sunny and warm we thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the sling lounge chairs at the front of the ship watching the many islands go by. A lovely and relaxing way to spend the day!
The tour was amazing. We had an incredible time seeing all three islands.
a MUST when visiting Greece. Only ONE day and yet you get to see a LOT of places. the Saronic Islands are beautiful!
An amazing and beautiful trip. I would highly recommend. I would do it again in a heart beat!staff was amazing. VIP upgrade is a MUST!!!!
HIGHLY recommended, especially worth the VIP upgrade! Initially thought it was just a ferry with reserved seating.... but this is definitely an all-day party boat and tour! Our personal butler was attentive and made sure that we were never in need of anything. We had priority on/off the boat, private lounge adjacent to the bridge and meet the captain and drive the boat! Great food, excellent entertainment. This was definitely the highlight of our Athens area tours!
