  • COVID-19 issues: All our tours have always been private and social distancing is easy and not new to us. Μaximum number of passengers per car/minivan is revised by the local authorities according to the epidemiological situation but being family or friends is the key to safety. Regular temperature check for staff & visitors is available. Staff required to regularly wash hands. Regularly sanitized high-traffic areas. Individual toiletries and/or hand sanitizer is available to guests & staff and required to use at every stop & departure during each day. We care about health! COVID-19 in Greece was like a normal flu. We expect YOU to be healthy before traveling!
  • OUR PERSONAL view: Wearing a mask for most of your trip does not make your vacation as enjoyable as it should be! However, we are in favor of adjustive social distancing that should not be new to anyone, with the presence of COVID-19 or not. So, please decide on your holiday with your own criteria considering your health, tolerance to risk but don't go for a holiday that is not going to be worry & mask-free! We can still be social while maintaining our personal space/distance. We all have the common logic of adjusting our distance when with our family, friends, colleagues, different societies, etc.
  • PROTOCOLS in place: We shall ensure that all protocols of the local authorities are implemented including masks, temperature & oxygen checks, social distancing, etc, but most of all common logic and flexibility to adjust to each situation.
  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • Not recommended for pregnant travelers
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • Most travelers can participate
  • OUR GUIDES ARE LIKE FAMILY TO US: They care about our safety A LOT! Our tours are PRIVATE and already what you would call safe! We are in the open, exploring with spotless cars, sites with natural “social distancing,” non-touristy hotels & tavernas, local people & communities with “zero” cases!

A Well-Planned Tour to Corinth; Superb Guide

, Mar 2020
Theo was the simply the epitome of tour guides. We left at 8 a.m. and returned just before 8 p.m. -heavy traffic due to the holiday. He was patient, kind, and quite intelligent and made several unplanned stops to accommodate our desire to take photos. The meal at lunch was fabulous -second to none! The Bema at Ancient Corinth was an emotional experience and a site everyone should visit. Another site visited included the memorial of the Massacre of Katavryta; it too, an emotionally stirring site. Due to the time of year, the water within the caves was quite low but otherwise, it made for a stunning experience.

Well ... just a big thank you for your amazing review. You have covered everything. Since you are .. reviewing your experience with us, we assume that you didn't have any issues with any stops at airports in Europe while traveling back home with this crazy coronavirus issue. We don't normally use this "not very original" phrase but in your case; we do hope to see you back again!

We fully enjoyed the trip with Nikos. He was very friendly and filled us in with lots of bits of information regarding Greece from a local's perspective. The cave of lakes was amazing with all its rock formations and seeing the non-touristy town of Kalabaki was a nice touch to other more crowded tours.

A Private Special Tour

It was our first time we take a private tour on any of our trip, and it was a great experience and a wonderful company. We were picked up by Theodore on time. Had the extra comfortable van all to ourselves (4 persons). Theodore first drove us to the Corinth Canal. Seeing the photos of the Canal is something, but physically being there and witnessing the manmade canal is an amazing view and experience. After that, we passed by another historical location before we reached the Cave of Lakes. We come from a country that has bigger caves, but it was quiet an amazing place, and very cold compared to temperatures outside the cave. After that, we went to the lovely town Kalavryta. What a lovely place!! Here you have to let Theodore pick the place and the food for lunch. Wow, wow, wow, never enjoyed the Greek food like that before. The area is well known of their cheeses and you have to try them in different ways. From there, Theodore took us to the train station and left us there to pick us back again at the destination point. The train ride (although with narrow seating) was so adventurous, as we passed through valleys, over rivers, through carved rocky tunnels. Theodore picked us up at the end of the train line, had some ice cream, and headed back to the hotel. We didn't want the day to be over, but it did with an overall satisfaction. The star of the day was Theodore, a perfect gentleman and amazing company. Thank you Theodore

We had this tour with Thodoris in July 2019. Whilst the cost was a little over what we had budgeted, it was amazing and well worth it! Thodoris was accommodating for all our needs and preferences, and taught us a lot about the history of Greece and a lot about the 'way of life', he made the long travel distances seem shorter. The lunch was exceptional, the most delicious food we had on our holiday - order what the guide recommends! The cave of lakes was very pretty (a bit cold), and very enjoyable. The train ride was also great. We had a great day on our tour with a great guide.

Great day out of Athens!

We really enjoyed this day out of Athens to experience some of the local culture, food and sights. Nikos was very enjoyable to spend the day with and he and his other guides speak excellent English. He picked us up on time in a modern and clean vehicle. He arranged for us to arrive at Corinth before all the buses. After that stop, the rest of the day was about a modern cultural experience. Nikos and his tour group have been careful to cultivate great relationships with business owners along the way to allow us a more unique and authentic experience wherever we stopped. The kids (13&16) really enjoyed the caves. We were able to stop in the square of a lovely village where Nikos introduced us to Greek coffee. We enjoyed delicious authentic Greek food for lunch and appreciated the suggestions that Nikos had for us. The train ride had spectacular views. Having experienced the attention to detail and choices of activities that we experienced on this day trip out of Athens, we wouldn’t hesitate to book one of the 3-5 day tours that this group runs! A truly well done NON-touristy day of touring around Greece!

This was an amazing tour and we felt like we got to see the real Greece. Our guide, Nikos, was very kind and exceptionally knowledgeable about Greece, the spots on our tour and local facts. He took us to an amazing lunch that was, by far, our best meal here. The Cave of Lake was very interesting to see and we loved the quick stop to see the Canal and the Temple of Apollo.

Wonderful Private Day Tour If youre looking for something different, getting away from the main tourist attractions and experiencing some authentic Greek elements, then this is the trip to take. Our driver and host for the day, Nikos, arrived promptly at the agreed time, car clean inside and out with bottles of water and homemade cookies. He quickly introduced himself and outlined the day for us. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, able to answer all our questions. The first stop at the road side was to view the manmade canal and then onto Ancient Corinth where we toured around the museum and ruins. Our next primary stop would be for lunch, however, being a private tour we diverted off the route to view a small architectural church which was really splendid and then as we drove through a small village he suggested we go back and sample the coffee. After a brief discussion with the owners he was satisfied that the coffee would be good and we sat down to a great cup of coffee. A couple of off the cuff experiences also gave us the opportunity to see the roasting of meat over an open fire on the roadside. Unfortunately, we could not stay for lunch as we needed to move on to our next stop. After a brief walk around the town, up in ski country, we sat down for lunch. Nikos chatted with the waiter and then with our consent ordered food and wine. The food was authentic and really good, giving us some new flavours to try. It also provided us with the time to chat with Nikos at length as he ate lunch with us. It was then on to the rack railway train to go down the mountain, a 55-minute ride through some wonderful scenery. At the bottom, there was Nikos ready to then drive us back to our apartment after a wonderful private day tour.

Forget the typical tourist spots that are heavily advertised - this tour by Nikos is the premier activity you can find in Greece and beyond. It combines history, food and nature combined with a pleasant and knowledgeable guide to make the best experience you could ever imagine. Under Nikos' guidance we were amazed at the Corinth canal with a stop to walk across it and observe the construction and design of this unique canal. Just after we were treated to a wonderful tour of ancient Corinth. This city is complex and sophisticated and defies your typical expectation of ancient ruins. You can clearly see the details of the city infrastructure and easily see how people lived and functioned there. It was also quite amazing to see and stand where the Apostle Paul did as he spoke with and interacted with the Corinthians. Later as we headed to the Cave of Lakes, Nikos introduced us to a leisurely stop in an small village square to try fine Greek coffee and just to enjoy some relaxation in the cool breezes and local color of the square. At the Cave of Lakes it was absolutely beautiful to see the formations and structure of this ancient cave. The cave was easy to navigate as a very substantial walkway made it comfortable and easy to tour and discover many beautiful sights. We have visited caves all around the world and this one is certainly one not to miss as it can hold it's own with any of the others we have seen. Next we had a terrific lunch at a small family run place picked out years ago by Nikos. He had subtly picked our brains on the drive to determine what foods he thought we would enjoy. So we left it to him to decide what to order. What a great decision on our part. Everything was wonderful and so fresh tasting with amazing combinations of flavors and variety. We were very pleased to learn that the outstanding food and drinks we had were all produced by the family and that easily explains why it tasted so wonderful. Next was the ride from the top of the mountain all the way down to the coast on a fantastic narrow gauge Odontotos railway. This was a 50 minute ride with outstanding views around every corner. Nikos arranged for us to be seated at the front so we had the best views. Our mouths were agape the whole way as we proceeded in what amounted to a ride inside the mountains seeing nature and views no one sees unless they take this train. If you think you have been on a scenic railway before, take this one and you will see the epitome of scenic. This was our last day of a 12 day trip and it was by far the most memorable experience. Thank you Nikos!
