this was a great tour. Just the right amount of food and walking. The food was great and we went back on our own the next day and had more.
This tour was awesome! Our tour guide Joy was the best. She was knowledgeable about the history of Atlanta and the food we tasted during the tour. Wear your walking shoes and bring and empty stomach!
What a great tour! The food was awesome, and showed different aspects of southern food. Big bonus on the history of early Atlanta, the civil rights and downtown areas. one of the highlights of my 3 days in Atlanta.
We really enjoyed the food as well as the history behind the restaurants we sampled
Best tour I've been on. The guide was knowledge, funny and very likable.
1st part of our 2nd anniversary weekend celebration. The tour was amazing and food great from the beginning to end. Our tour guide was friendly and made the event a fantastic experience. I really appreciate how they accommodate your food preferences. A+, would definitely recommend.
I had a wonderful time! I and #39;ve lived in Atlanta for 17 years and I and #39;ve never done this--didn and #39;t even know it existed. But I would highly recommend it to locals AND visitors to the city. It and #39;s a fun way to learn the history of Atlanta while eating and meeting new people. Joy was fabulous! :-)
Joy, our guide, was an absolute delight. Highly recommended tour. Lots of history as well as delicious food.
We had such a good time. Our tour guide was awesome. We ate well and learned about Atlanta past and present. I highly recommend.
The food was spectacular, the history informative and the reception was warm at each stop. The walking portion was a great way to experience Atlanta first hand. Akila did a great job integrating the personal aspects of the city's legacy with how the cuisine evolved with influences from Africa, Native Americans and British.
Our guide was enthusiastic and gave us lots of information about the history of the area, especially pertaining to civil rights. We traversed through a few neighborhoods, always traveling in one direction, and got plenty at each stop.
Some of the foods were not what I would have expected, but most were excellent examples of Southern dishes. We were taken places that had dishes from each of the various subsets of Southern cooking, like smoked meat or shrimp and grits. We enjoyed it quite a lot.
The only drawback was that it wasn't a loop, but our last stop was right next to a bus stop that was on a route that took us right back to where we started.
The tour was fun and delicious and the tour guide was amazing! If you are in Atlanta I would definitely suggest that you check this tour out.
Excellent way to spend a couple of hours learning about southern food and civil rights history. Nice easy walk!!
Despite the wet weather, Akila artfully and articulately brought the food and history of Atlanta to life. I've lived in Georgia for nearly 20 years, yet there were so many historical facts of which I had no idea! The food was absolutely incredible and my family loved every bite and drink! Will definitely be suggesting this to others!
An interesting and very informative tour. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food tastings we all delicious and plentiful. Covered a lot of ground and learned about some Atlanta history. I recommend this tour.
