My husband and I went on the Atlanta Southern Food tour in October 2017. Our tour guide, Joy, made sure we had a great time and was very knowledgeable about the different restaurants and neighborhoods we visited on the tour. It was a great way to try a bunch of different types of food without having to go eat a whole meal at each restaurant, but on top of that we learned a lot about the history of both the food and the areas. We highly recommend this tour!

Atlanta's Southern Food Tour was fantastic! Joy, our guide, was personable and engaging, the true highlight of the tour. She showed a great passion for both the food and the historical significance of the area, and their relation to, and on, each other. There was an wonderful variety of foods, lighter and heavier, showcasing the different restaurants but also the different influences on southern cuisine. We patronized over half of the restaurants during the remainder of our stay in Atlanta, only two more days.

I got this tour as an anniversary gift for my husband and myself. We has an amazing time. It was soooo much more than food. There was great conversation, history about the city and we met people from all over USA as well as Canada. Recommend to everyone. This is my new go to gift for people that have everything.

A wonderful walk through downtown Atlanta with lots of history and Civil Rights stories. The walk was broken up by the food tasting of excellent southern fayre in some great locations. Our guide, Joy, by name and nature, made the whole experience the highlight of our time in Atlanta.

This tour was everything I had hoped it would be. Coming from Arizona, I really wanted to experience some southern cooking and this tour provided a diverse sampling of that served up with a side of local history. Our guide, Jennifer, is also a chef and was just so knowledgeable about the food we tried and its regional origins. The tour was extremely well organized, the food was delicious, and Jennifer's information on both food and history was clearly and understandably presented. My son has just moved to Atlanta, and this was a great way for him to get to know his new town. We were both delighted with the lovely afternoon we spent on this tour. Fried chicken, pulled pork, collard greens, Brunswick stew, meat pies, banana pudding, pecan pralines, moonshine cocktails and so much more. What's not to like?

This was one of the best food tours I have ever experienced, it was a great combination of food and history. Our guide was David a recovering Lawyer from South Carolina, his words not mine he was funny and engaging. We visited 7 establishments 3 food, 2 juice shops and 1 popcorn/candy shop. My favorites were Paschal's restaurant, the first stop on the tour and Danburys in the Sweet Auburn Market. Paschal's Restaurant had the best fried chicken and Danbury's had the best meat pie, you just have to go to experience it.

I loved this tour! I've participated in other food tours, but none that incorporated a pivotal time in history with the tour. This tour emphasized the civil rights history that has granted Atlanta the culture it is today. I truly enjoyed it!

Great tour with a bonus of two guides who were charming and knowledgable. Plentiful variety of food interwoven with historic walking tour of Atlanta concentrating on the Civil Rights Movement. We have been on many foodie tours and this was one of the best.

I had a wonderful time! I and #39;ve lived in Atlanta for 17 years and I and #39;ve never done this--didn and #39;t even know it existed. But I would highly recommend it to locals AND visitors to the city. It and #39;s a fun way to learn the history of Atlanta while eating and meeting new people. Joy was fabulous! :-)
