Why Travelers Choose This Tour

Sample up to six different beers—the ideal introduction to New Zealand's craft beer scene.
New Zealand may be best known for its wine, but this walking tour gives beer-lovers a taste of the city’s best local brews. Meet your guide at a central location in the afternoon and start your 3-hour journey at the Brothers Beer brewery, where you may enjoy craft brews in the tasting lounge.

Then it’s time to explore the city center during an approx. 1-mile (1.5-km) stroll to local brewpubs, bars and breweries — both historical and contemporary. While you walk, your guide shares information about Auckland’s age-old brewing industry and offers insight into the resurgent interest by boutique and craft brewers.

At each venue, enjoy four to six beer tastings accompanied by potato chips, and discover a variety of flavor profiles and brewing techniques. At the final location, pair your brews with a food tasting — enough to add up to a light meal.

We enjoyed meeting Elle and accompanying her to several craft beer locations. She described each tasting beer and shared information about the brewery as well as general information about Auckland, which was helpful. We definitely recommend this tour.

Fantastic tour with some great beers. Our guide, Steve, knows the subject matter extremely well and did a great job explaining the brewing process, the different types of beers and answered all our questions. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend.

On time our friendly guide in the first brewery waited for us. Since we were alone as a German couple it became an interesting and professional private management. Afterwards he led us through the city of Auckland in the most beautiful autumn weather. We tasted different beers and loved the high quality standard and great taste. It was an exciting and different tour and we learned a lot about New Zealand and beer. The guide was very varied and ended in a quaint pub where we tried more beer sorts and were still amply provided with a good typical food. The atmosphere was excellent and we had very good conversations with our excellent guide. We can especially recommend this tour as a German and thank our guide for this unforgettable afternoon!

Beer lovers paradise! I mean, who cannot love a beer tour? We walked around and drank beer! We drank about 10 different beers and at the last pub we dug into same tasty nachos. Elle was our guide she was for the foody tour as well and again, she was just a delight to talk with and discuss beer and more food! It really set us up for the next 10 days with info on drinking beer in New Zealand. For me, I tried about 40-50 different beers many in Wellington and my wife about 30. Cannot wait to go back!

My husband and I were the only ones on this tour which we were somewhat hesitant about at first, but we had a blast and it turned out to be our most fun day/night in Auckland. Our guide, Nilesh is a real G.C.! He was super fun to hang with and very knowledgeable about beer and Auckland. New Zealand style beers probably aren't our first choice, but all of the beers we had were quite tasty and well done. We were also given a good portion of tasty food at our first and last stops. Great value for the money and would definitely recommend!
