If you have short time to stay in Auckland, this is the good choice for you to explore the city. The staffs are really nice.

Ground staff & Bus captains very helpful. The places of interest are very comprehensive. Great way to see Auckland on a one day stopover.
    Bus Ride

The hop on hop off bus was clean and on time. We took both routes and stopped at the Eden volcano summit walk and the Auckland Zoo. Our suggestion is to have the buses run later in the summer months even if it cost more. Our 24 hours could only be used 7 as the last pick up was before 5. We would have liked to take the ferry ride to the island but not enough time.

    See the Sights
    Leone M, Dec 2019
Excellent way to see the city of Auckland and the bonus of a ferry ride across the bay was great. We have used these types of buses in many countries and find it a great way to see a city to find what you want to see more of. The transition between the red and blue lines was a bit difficult. Some buses went from red to blue then back to red again without people having to change buses. But that didn't help some people stuck at the changeover stop waiting for a red bus to get them back to the city centre some waiting 40 minutes or more for the correct bus! Also I bought my tickets online and was told at the port where our cruise ship docked to go to the first main bus stop and swap my voucher for a ticket which was frustrating but not too far. Then we were advised that if we went on the ferry first while it wasn't busy that may be best. When we got to the ferry I had to queue up again to swap those tickets for new ones for both the ferry and the bus!! Talk about red tape. Would be better off to just buy the combined ticket at the wharf.

Auckland Explorer: Hop-on Hop-off Tour Including Free Ferry
    Brian_H, Nov 2019
Excellent and cost efficient way to see Auckland, or any other city, when you are visiting for such a short period of time. With only one day in port, the Hop On Hop Off Bus is the only way to maximise what you see in a limited time. The free Ferry to Devonport was an added bonus. It was an excellent experience, and thoroughly recommended. We often use Hop On Hop Off buses on our cruise holidays.

Best way to get around Auckland!
    DianLestariR, Jul 2019
As this was our first trip to Auckland, what better way to go around the city than engaging with the Hop-On Hop-Off bus! The drivers, the bus operators at the focal points (Viaduct Harbor, Sky Tower, etc.) - all of them were so informative and helpful! The buses arrive in 30-minute intervals, so there are plenty of time for you to visit each stop as long as you make sure that you're aware of the last bus timing (4.30pm on the red tour at the Auckland Museum, the bus driver will always take the initiative to inform you if you need to change buses, or remain on the bus itself). We initially took the 48H pass, which automatically gives you a free ferry pass to Devonport (please do not pass this one up, as the quaint village was so beautiful and worthwhile to visit!). You must ensure that you get the bus tickets from the operators first at the focal points before you can obtain the free pass at the ferry terminal. We ended up booking another set of the 48H pass as we wanted to be sure not to miss any of the attractions listed in their tour. All in all, this is definitely a great way to get familiarized with this beautiful city! Highly recommended!
