After morning pickup at your hotel or the cruise ship port, travel in a comfortable private vehicle with your private guide to the places that most interest your party.
South Auckland offers family-friendly options, such as the working farm at Ambury Regional Park, which sits on Manukau Harbour. Take in views of Auckland as you walk past fields with grazing cows, sheep and other farm animals. The park also provides shelter for a variety of birds. Nearby, the Otuataua Stonefields are remnants of one of Auckland's younger volcanoes, Mangere, and were an important Maori site.
Continuing south, the Auckland Botanic Gardens features a collection of more than 10,000 plants, many of them native, in beautifully landscaped gardens. Another superb example is Ayrlies Garden, one of the most renowned gardens in New Zealand. The Formosa Golf Club is located nearby if you want to play a round of golf.
In the village of Clevedon, you can taste oysters from the waters of the Hauraki Gulf, try mozzarella cheese made from local water buffalo's milk, and stop in at boutique wineries along the Pohutukawa Coast.
At the end of your full-day tour, your guide returns you to your hotel or cruise ship terminal.
