fantastic tour guide! itinerary was not exactly as per trip description tho
, Jun 2019
we had the most awesome guide, JB! he was actually a last minute replacement, as the original driver was sick. JB was enthusiastic, passionate and lots of fun. he really made a big difference to our trip! however, some things turned out differently from what was described in the tour listing - e.g. we did not get to tour L'Isle Sur La Sorgue, which we were quite disappointed. and there was no wine tasting - we are not big on wine so it was no issue for us; but not sure if other people in the tour were disappointed. then there was a fantastic lunch at La Bastide de Marie - however, again this was not listed in the tour information, in fact the tour info said "no meals provided", so we were quite surprised and initially worried/unsure whether we had to pay or not? would be good if the tour listing provides clear info, and/or if the tour guide for the day explains to us at the start what has been changed, before we set off.
A disappointing day
, Jun 2018
This tour was disappointing. We had expected to be driven in a minibus or other suitable vehicle. Instead, it was a small private car with four passengers plus the driver. As my wife was the smallest, she had to sit in the middle of the back seat where there was inadequate room for comfort – especially as the tour involved several hours of driving, admittedly with stops. We had also expected a professional and informative commentary about places of interest on route and particularly the stopping points. The driver/guide offered her own opinions and observations which we felt were not always informative and factual. I had booked the tour specifically to include a visit to Isles-Sur-la-Sorgue, which is a delightful little town with a crystal clear stream running through the centre. Our stop there was limited to 30 minutes, which after allowing for a much-needed toilet break, was effectively 20 minutes – barely enough to walk a short distance along the main street and back. Another 30 to 60 minutes would at least have allowed us to see most of the town. We also made relatively short stops at Gordes and Rousillon, however, the time allotted to these visits was more adequate. There was a brief photo stop at the renowned Abbe which we had thought we would actually be able to visit or at least see up close, but we got no nearer than 200-300 meters. We discovered (to our surprise and that of the other couple on the tour that day) that the tour included a wine tasting at the end. While this could be seen as an unexpected bonus, in fact we had not booked a wine tour, and whilst the visit to the winery was interesting, it consumed time that we would have preferred to have spent elsewhere. In fact the tour, including at least an hour at the winery, lasted only about 7 hours, whereas it had been promoted as being around 9 hours without the wine tasting. We felt the tour should have included more time at the promoted stops and this would have been possible had it lasted for 9 hours instead of effectively only 6 hours plus the unscheduled wine tasting. Based on our disappointing experience, we would certainly not recommend this tour to others.
An excellent, enjoyable day trip...

An excellent, enjoyable day trip. Julien our guide was knowledgeable and helpful throughout the experience. He even organized a light meal at a local vineyard. Very fun and memorable.
