Travel to the heart of Cyprus’ Troodos Mountains, to traditional villages and the beautiful Kykkos Monastery on this 8-hour tour. Round-trip transportation from your hotel in Ayia Napa is included.
  • 8-hour excursion to the Troodos Mountains and Kykkos Monastery from Ayia Napa
  • Visit the quaint village of Kakopetria and enjoy panoramic views of the Troodos Mountains
  • Marvel at the gorgeous shrine to the Virgin Mary inside the Kykkos Monastery
  • Round-trip transport from Ayia Napa hotels is included
  • Small-group tour limited to 10 people
Your tour begins at your Ayia Napa hotel, where you’ll board an air-conditioned coach destined for Kakopetria, a quaint village famed for its streams and miniature waterfall. On arrival here, you’ll have free time to explore.

Return to your vehicle for a scenic drive through the Troodos Mountains: stop off at Throni, perched on the summit of the mountains, to enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding landscapes. Opt to visit the tomb of Archbishop Makarios III, the first President of Cyprus, before you proceed to the Kykkos Monastery.

Founded by Byzantines in the 11th century, the monastery boasts a gorgeous shrine to the Virgin Mary, decorated with tortoiseshell and mother-of-pearl. Spend free time here, opting to visit the monastery and purchase lunch.

Please note that a dress code must be followed in order to visit the monastery. (No shorts or sleeveless tops; knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women.)

Your tour concludes with drop-off back at your Ayia Napa hotel.

Lang onderweg met veel russen
, Nov 2019

Dear traveler, thank your for your comment. Your feedback is very important for us and helps us to improve. Nevertheless we would like to point out, that this excursion is not advertised for a maximum of 10 persons, we do mention that there is big coach with up to 50 guests. We are sorry if something has been misunderstood. The visited monastery of Kykkos is the most famous and richest monastery of the Island and therefore on busy days there are numerous visitors from all over the world to expect. It is a must see of Cyprus. We are sorry that the tour did not meet your expectations and once again thank your for your review.
