The boat trip was wonderful. The captain was very helpful. When we got to the pagoda he even came with us to help us up. We had forgotten our camera so he took pictures for us on his phone.
It would be helpful to have a written description of what to expect at the pagoda since our captain couldn't speak ,English.
But all in all a great expirience and a fantastic welcome to Bagan.
Ended up doing this by myself because of a booking misunderstanding minimum are 2 people. The organiser was clearly not thrilled but was super polite and let me do this by myself.
The boat left and arrived on time. Even though guide's English was not the best, he made sure all my needs were met and was super professional throughout the whole trip.
Was not so keen on the Pagoda as did not add much to what I've already seen in Bagan, but the sunrise was a unforgettable experience.
Highly recommended super good value experience! Do not go to the place by taxi though as it is a bit remote and most taxi drivers won't know how to get there.
