Booked this through Viator who used MyTour Baku. Hafis, a young man with a chemical engineering degree, was our guide and we had a separate driver for the Mercedes van. It was a very enjoyable day, where Hafis explained what we were seeing and shared his knowledge of life in Azerbaijan, and the history of the sites we visited. I highly recommend this trip.

Great tour to the key sites around Baku, also my tours are the most economical package offered. Hafis is as well an awesome tour guide.

We booked a group tour and got a private one, which was nice. The places were also amazing! Although that part was great, the guide seemed uninterested and bored. He was very sweet, but there was also a lack of information regarding historical or archeological facts.
Great tour of outskirts of Baku and surrounding area!

For the first time, I was able to visit a former Zoroastrian place of worship that was also used by Hindus and Sikhs in the past. For the first time, I was able to visit mud volcanoes. For the first time, I was able to visit an outdoor museum with pre-historic rock cavings and musical stones used 5,000-20,000 years ago. For the first time, I was able to see a location were flame has been naturally lit by gases seeping from the ground. This tour was amazing in the sense that I was able to see and spend time at places that I have usually seen before. In addition, I was able to see a historical mosque with great importance to Shia Muslims and also see an architectual beauty (Heyder Aliyev Centre) designed by Zaha Hadid. Certainly recommend this tour to someone who is has seen the city centre of Baku, but not explored the surroundings of Baku with phenomenal views and historical sites. The only (and I honestly mean the only) reason I am giving this tour a 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 stars is the lunch that was provided in a restaurant located in the old town of Baku. The rice was dry and the chicken served was overcooked and hard. That was the only downside of the tour. Thank you Huseyn (tour guide) who was able to answer so many of many questions through his great knowledge of the local area. Thanks for showing me the historical side of Azerbaijan.
Nice Tour of Gobustan, the Fire Temple, and Burning Mountain

The tour of Gobustan, the mud volcanoes, the Bibi Heydad mosque, the fire temple and the burning mountain was a day of interesting geologic and cultural sites that gave me a pretty good overview of the forces that have shaped present day Azerbaijan. It was a long day that our guide, Samir, stewarded nicely through a balance of information, personal stories, and a willingness to let the group explore on its own. Even as my energy flagged toward the end, Samir encouraged me to persevere. The tour is packed with sites and even comes with lunch included. It was a great deal for everything that is included and a great tour guide. Definitely recommend.

Nice tour and great driver everything was perfect in the tour apart from the free dinner my friends and I thought the food was terrible maybe our taste is a bit high but apart from that it was perfect would totally recommend
