Receive a morning pickup from your Bali hotel, after which you’ll continue by coach bus to Bali’s idyllic northern coast. Your first stop will be the farming areas around Pupuan and Antosari.
Discover the eye-popping rice terraces found in these two areas of the island’s north, stopping to take a few photographs in the perfect lighting of the early morning. The surrounding area is also known for growing a surprising range of crops, including fruit, coffee, and cacao. Continue to Lovina Beach, a stretch of black-sand coast where you’ll also have the chance to get lunch (own expense).
After your break on the beach, take the trip to new heights by ascending by bus to the 3,900-foot (1,200-meter) summit of a nearby mountain. You’ll take in gorgeous panoramas of Bali’s northern coast from the top. Proceed next to Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan, where a diverse range of rare birds, flowers, trees thrive in the area’s unique ecosystem. Then head to Lake Bratan, also known as ‘The Lake of the Holy Mountain,’ where you’ll get to explore the floating temple of Ulun Danu.
Before ending your day, make one more stop at a local fruit and flower market, where you can bargain with the vendors for some of the day’s fresh harvest. You’ll return to your Bali hotel after this final stop.
