The tour guide is very knowledge and friendly, which makes this trip enjoyable.
Highly recommended for those wanting to know more about history of Bali, it and #39;s kings, their reign etc. Putra, our guide was extremely informative with knowledge about everything that we saw on the tour and on the way.
Very good tour. Wonderful views from restaurant. Excellent food.
Peaceful and tranquil as not on the tourist trail and therefore not thronging with tourists and hawkers. Transport could have been more comfortable but as we were the only ones on this tour we were able to spread out. However some of the roads desperately need maintenance and I felt each bump in my back
The venue for lunch was stunning but the food was ordinary and overpriced
Our guide Radi was immensely knowledgeable about the island. And this tour highlights the magnificence of the Balinese culture and history.

Must-see tour.well-structured itinerary taking us through the exciting scenic landscape of lush green rice fields and snake-fruit forests..so you dont feel the long journey time to the prescribed tour spot. mr.Vyas, the local guide,is knowledgeable and accommodative. He should have introduced the various craft- villages and picturesque sites on the way and interacted more with the tourists than the driver during the journey time.A comfortable small group of Six is yet another advantage of maintaining the schedule in time. The eye-catching Karangasem palace with its well designed grandeur and exquisite tropical garden-Tirta Ganga Water palace brought us a very relaxing, memorable day.Special thanks to Viator for providing such a well sculpted tour..
Excellent trip. Highly recommended. The guide spoke very good English and was very accommodating to my needs.
This day was our absolute favorite in Bali! Our tour guide Windra was extraordinary and the best guide of the 3 we had from all the Viator tours. He not only went into great detail about Indonesia's culture and various languages, but was more than obliging to take photos of us and let us wander a bit throughout the day. The water palaces are breathtaking, and I don't use that word often. You will definitely enjoy this day in beautiful east Bali - well worth the 90 minute "trek" from the resort areas of Denpasar to see landscape that is very reminiscent of Hawaii. The restaurant they take you to for lunch has an incredible view and the buffet had some western options in case you aren't feeling adventurous. Being driven around all day in an air conditioned van made us feel like royalty ourselves!
Fabulous...a great Tour to start my exploration of Bali.
It gave an insight to the History as well as visiting various Palaces, which were well maintained and very beautiful.
A great day out...4he trip took us into the mountains as well, past small villages...fab views on route.
Guide very informative and lovely guy...driver very experienced as well.
DEFINITELY recommend this Tour.
My day trip to the Karangasem tour was excellent most enjoyable day I would recommend this tour. my tour guide was fantastic wonderful man with a wealth of knowledge. Windra was Wonderful and would love to have him as my tour guide again. I would rate my day a 10 out of 10. thank you. Could you please pass on my best regards to Windra and thank him again for me. kind regards Gina Salisbury
This was rhe first time of doing this tour. The guide was extremely informative and would thoroughly recommend this tour .
What we loved: visiting Sukasada Park and Tirta Gangga Water Palace. These two places made the trip for us as they are both utterly beautiful and well worth seeing - we also had the best nasi goring we ever had at a café outside the Water Palace!
Unfortunately there wasn't much to see at Puri Agung Karangasem, it was like a smaller less impressive version of the other two, and our guide only gave us a very basic history. I also don't think we really saw much of any picturesque villages, though we did stop to take in a great view.
Before all of this we were taken around a silverworks, wood carving, batik processing and art gallery. The silverworks was briefly interesting before we were taken to the shop largest in Bali, no cheaper than UK. The wood carving was actually just a large shop, no process to show. The batik was a 5min brief overview before we were taken to the shop, and even more brief with the gallery. Appreciate they need the business, but being rushed through or not getting the interesting part to be followed around the shop was not great.
Unfortunately our guide didn't give much information about the history of Bali, and even wanted to rush us through Sukasada Park. We tried to get more detail from him, but his English wasn't great and he didn't seem too interested we got more from the leaflets and activity description!.
We would recommend the trip, but actually if you can visit those two places separately you might be better off. Having said that, a decent guide would have made all the difference.
This tour was quite nice. I would recommend it. The countryside is beautiful. The water palace itself was amazing.

I went for this tour becouse I really want to see these places which are not on the top list of most tourists. I have a good guide and a good driver and a limousine for myself. The guide even shows me his family altars.
The tour was amazing. All the places we went too were breath taking. Our tour guide spoke very good English and gave us so much information on everything. If you like to see what Bali is really like and some of the history this tour would be a great choice.
Very informative and friendly guide. The driver was very professional and the vehicle was well maintained and comfortable (good air conditioning!!) only downside was there was a lot of road works which meant there was a lot of time in the car. Overall a good little tour
The places we went were nice but our tour guide couldn't speak English so we read about the history of the places we saw on the internet, in the evening because the tour guide gave almost no info. He was pushing us to do shopping, he was snoozing in the car, playing on his mobile phone...
out of 10 I would give 2 only. Didn't like the organization of it and the lenth of the trip (14 hours) - too many unnesesary additions. Wouldn't recommend it for anybody.
