What You Can Expect

Baltimore to New York City by Rail Day Trip

Make your way to Baltimore’s Amtrak station for departure between 6am and 8am (exact departure time depends on the train schedule, and will be determined when booking). Watch the scenery from a comfortable train seat, or catch a nap on the way to the city, then step off in New York’s iconic Pennsylvania Station.

Following your mid-morning arrival in New York City, walk a few blocks to the hop-on, hop-off bus tour office, where you can pick up tickets for your tour of Manhattan and Brooklyn. Stay on the bus for the entire loop to get the perfect overview and orientation of the city, or stop to explore; stops include museums, zoos, the One World Trade Center, and some of Brooklyn’s hippest neighborhoods.

When the bus winds back across the East River into Midtown Manhattan, visit a Times Square restaurant for lunch. If you select the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island option when booking, you’ll also have tickets for the ferry across the New York Harbor, the perfect way to snap photos of the New York Skyline from the water.

After you’ve seen the Big Apple sites, and soaked in some of New York's unique style, history, and attitude, hop back on the bus towards Penn Station, where you’ll catch the return train to Baltimore.
