After crossing the river, head straight to the Water Village Museum for a guided tour and learn more about the Brunei Water Village, which is renowned as one of the largest water-based communities in the world – home to around 30,000 residents.
Continue by water taxi to the village itself, admiring views of the grand Istana Nurul Iman palace, the world’s largest residential palace, along the way. Then, arrive in the Brunei Water Village and jump out to experience local life on a walking tour.
Hear about the unique village from your guide as you stroll around the waterways and bridges, and spot schools, police stations, shops, and mosques. Stop along the way to meet the locals, enjoy tea at a local café (included), and learn more about everyday life.
Finally, head back to the jetty to board a water taxi and end your tour with a drop-off back at your hotel.
