Watch for proboscis monkeys in Brunei’s mangrove forests on a 2-hour wildlife cruise from Bandar Seri Begawan, then visit a water village built on high, wooden stilts. This 2-hour Brunei boat tour departs from a centrally-located jetty in Bandar Seri Begawan, and it includes a stop for light refreshments at a home in the water village. Choose between morning and afternoon departures, with the option to add transfers from Jerudong or the airport.
Make your way to a jetty in the center of BSB, or opt for pickup at your hotel in Jerudong or at the airport, then board a river boat for a trip into Brunei’s mangrove forest. You’ll travel past a sprawling network of water villages, the largest in the world, and follow a winding river as it narrows into mangrove channels. Move quietly through the forest, stopping frequently to watch for elusive proboscis monkeys, and listen for the sound of tropical birds that thrive in the lush canopy. As you travel, the guide will introduce the basics of mangrove ecology, introducing the plants and animals that thrive in the watery environment. Turn back upriver on your way to Bandar Seri Begawan, and pause along the way to walk through the water village, following a maze of walkways to a local house for light refreshments. This 2-hour tour concludes with drop-off at the original departure point.

Disappointing monkeys too far away. Guide on phone all time. No explanations. No more owning tea in river house
This river safari was top notch. We spent a few hours on the river and saw so many proboscis monkey's. We sat and watched a group of them very close up. The boat even slowed down/stopped when I spotted a kingfisher along the river's edge. This was an amazing experience.
