Meet up with your rafting group in the afternoon at the river base starting point. Before getting in the water, fuel up with a tasty lunch of burgers (veggie and beef options), pasta and potato salad, veggies, lemonade and chocolate brownies. After suiting up in your gear and taking a pre-rafting photo, it’s time to hit the water.
Learn the various rafting commands from your guide as you navigate the relatively calm upper stretches of the Kicking Horse. Once you feel comfortable, prepare for adrenaline-fueled fun as you plunge head first into the Class IV rapids of Shotgun and Portage. It’s so fun in fact, that you’ll get the chance to go back and do it again a second time.
When you conclude your whitewater adventure board the bus for the transfer back to the starting point, allowing you to change clothes and check out the photos. Warm showers, change rooms, bathrooms, picnic tables, and a volleyball court are all available for use.
