Your friendly, English-speaking guide will meet you in the hotel lobby for a full-day private tour of Bangalore City. Make stops at some of the most iconic landmarks, including palaces and gardens. Specific itineraries are dependant on traffic conditions, individual interests and hotel location. Make a stop at Lalbagh Botanical Gardens with your professional guide and learn about how these stunning landscapes were designed by Hyder Ali, before later being renovated by his son, Tipu Sultan. Wander through displays of tropical plants, hanging gardens and colorful blooms as your guide explains some of the 1,000 species that were imported here. After the gardens, make your way to Vidhana Soudha, where the state legislature and secretariat are housed. The granite structure is located on the northern edge of Cubbon Park and showcases neo-Dravidian architectural style. Learn about the political and historical significance of this landmark as you take a closer look at the sandalwood door and cabinet room with your guide. Enjoy lunch (at your own expense or purchased, depending on your selected option) and then head to the city center to see Bangalore Fort. Built from mud brinks in the 1500s by Kempe Gowda, the founder of this great city, it was later rebuilt and expanded by Hyder Ali and Tipu Sultan. Your private tour of this impressive fort showcases the Islamic and Hindu influences. Stop in the courtyard, where devotees of Hindu pay homage to Lord Ganesh as you listen to stories about the fort’s history and significance in British resistance. Head to Tipu Sultan’s Palace and marvel at the two-story teakwood palace that was built in the late 1700s. This summer retreat resembles the Daria Daulat Palace in Srirangapatanam, with impressive pillars, beautiful balconies and stunning archways. Stop in the palace museum, where your guide will explain the traditional royal clothing and jewels that are on display. Finally, explore the Gothic windows, turrest and foiled windows of the imposing Bangalore Palace. Built by a Wodeyar king in the European Tudor style, this landmark is a true architectural wonder. This is a very lousy tour.. Pick up at 9 am and drop off at 3pm.. Tipu Sultan Palace and Lalbagh Garden got nothing to see.. Sri Bull Temple still fine, something special.. No visit to Bangalore Palace and Vidhana Soudha, just drive through and pass by, view from the car.. It cost me 102 Pound equivalent to 10K rupees.. I can did it myself less than 1/4 of the amount.. Feeling being cheated, Poor !!
Wonderful glimpse of the city. Our drive , Nagesh was pleasant and capable. Our tour guide, Vinay, was knowledgeable and informative. Enjoyed the botanical gardens, Tipu Sultan's palace, Bangalore Fort and Bangalore Palace. It was a government holiday, so we were only able to view the Vidhana Soudha building from outside. Instead we stopped at Bull Temple and a silk shop. Great day, I would highly recommend this tour.
