What You Can Expect

Bangkok Night Food and City Tour by Tuk Tuk

Exclusive temples illuminated by the cool evening!

Meet your guide at a centrally located skytrain station and swing into your own, personal tuk tuk—the colorful, 3-stroke, open air vehicles are a symbol of Bangkok life and culture, and they offer unobstructed views of the city as you zip through the streets. Head into the heart of Rattanakosin, Old Bangkok, where you’ll taste an updated take on a traditional Thai favorite. Get a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look into a Bangkok kitchen where chefs sear noodles over great charcoal braziers.

Take a nighttime tour of one of the city’s most beloved temples — this is the perfect time to explore the site without the crowds — and discover hushed shrines and Buddha statues beyond the temple walls. Pause for a riverside drink with views of the Temple of Dawn, with the perfect angle to capture images of the wat above the Chao Phraya River. Visit a bustling local market to browse displays of farm-fresh produce, local fish and spices, then polish off a plate of Bangkok’s top-rated pad Thai, and finish the night with drop-off at your central Bangkok hotel.

This is a great tour! The guide was a really nice and knowledgeable guy. He was funny and was great about making sure we were all happy and took pictures of us frequently (which he later emailed to us).
The tour takes you to eat at places that locals love, that we would’ve never known about otherwise. The food itself was amazing. Great all round experience. I recommend it to all food lovers coming to Bangkok.

Awesome night! We tasted some great food that we never would have tried otherwise. We visited the flower markets, Wat Pho temple, a rooftop bar and experienced the thrill of being in a tuk tuk at night on the busy streets of Bangkok. Our guide, Noom, was awesome. He was happy, friendly and knowledgeable. We learnt a lot about Thai culture. We also met some great people on the tour from all over the world. Would thoroughly recommend!! A highlight of our holiday.

A great way to see a bunch of Bangkok tourist destinations in one tour. We started at a very popular pad thai restaurant and alternated between eating and tourist attractions a view over the river, flower market, Wat Pho, etc.. Our guide Bella was fantastic and really sweet, and I learned a great deal about Thai food and culture. The food was good but nothing particularly special -- although the Chinese food on Yaowarat Road was the highlight. Come hungry!

First the pros:
The people were terrific. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Riding a Tuk Tuk through Bangkok from stop to stop is smart, and breaking up the eating with Wat Pho and drinks overlooking Wat Arun is genius. It's nice to recover one's appetite.

The problem is the food.
The jook rice porridge was easily some of the best I've had, but we do get it for breakfast in most places.
Then we had rice noodles stir fried.
Then we had pad thai.
And that was it. Rice, rice noodles, rice noodles. You see the problem?

They were all good, but there is no variety. If the middle stop had been street food or we layered in some street food along the way OR if the middle was a classic thai salad it would have broken up the monotony. Outside the Pad Thai place were several interesting dessert sellers, adding that in at the end would have helped. We walked through the flower market and there was some weird fruit you chew, but the guide didn't propose we try it. It's a food tour, we should be tasting!

If you are incredibly cautious and afraid of thai food, this tour might suit you. Nothing is spicy or that weird ok, pickled squid on the noodle stir fry, but you can eat around it

Otherwise, it's some very dull and uninspired eating. If you are a foodie, skip it.

it was so hard to find the tour that we missed it. We even asked some locals and they were not sure where it was. We then called the tour operator and had them speak on the phone to a local international not free call and they still didn't understand where they were located. Very disappointing.
