Learn about traditional Thai life on the waterways during this day trip to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, located approximately 65 miles (105 km) from Bangkok. Watch the bustling activity of female vendors in wooden hats, seen from a platform overlooking the market. Your instructive guide points out a variety of traditional foods, including tropical fruits, coconut sugar candy and mango sticky rice. Round-trip hotel transport is included.
Best tour, exciting, fun and entertaining.
This was fun and worth doing, even if you don't buy anything. If you do, be prepared to haggle. I bought a lovely dress from the adjacent dry-land market I felt less rushed and less as if I were inconveniencing other passengers.
Nice tour, the market is very interesting, but its made for turists....
was good but nothing special
guide very sociable and friendly but English proficiency is low and has an accent so strong that I was 'guessing' her English only very doable for half day tours with very simple itinerary. both guide and driver keep chatting in non English, which to me is unprofessional. at the end, I got passed over to another company and tour's van while my guide moved on to another tour starting right after mine. Such info should've been communicated in advance.
The trip was too far away from Bangkok and the time at the Floating Market itself was too short. I would've preferred to skip the zoo altogether and spend more time at the market. The aircon in the van was not nearly strong enough and I was carsick on both the way to the market and on the way back.
You get what you paid for with this tour bus you and #39;re on isn and #39;t particularly comfortable and our guide spoke limited English. There is also a stop to this random and #34;amusement park and #34; on the way back that has an elephant trek and other things. Which added another 1.5hrs.
It was a disaster: they told us they would come and pick us up from our hotel very early in the morning and we got ready to be in time, but they only showed up an hour and a half later and after we had made a few phone calls to make sure that they were coming. I wonder what would have happened if we hadnt called them... Very disappointing. Besides, we arrived to the place, we were dropped off there by a driver that couldnt speak English and we didnt know what exactly we were expecting. We just followed the crowds and only when we arrived to the market, we met our guide for 2 minutes, and Im not exaggereting, because he said he was busy with another group.
