Interesting day out
Rosemary_H, Nov 2019
Long day out, leaving from our hotel in Bangkok at 7am and arriving back at 7pm. Slightly erratic driving from out minibus driver, but got us there and back in one piece!!!! River Kwai bridge and museum were very was cemetery if you are linked to POW's in any way. Declined elephant riding out of principal, but fed them instead. Rafting was cramped and a bit underwhelming...3 rafts attached together with a long tail boat pulling us back to starting point. Train ride on railway was quite a highlight Restaurant stop very basic. If you are interested in War history of river Kwai and railway would recommend.....otherwise a long slightly hair-raising drive for a day out of Bangkok!!!
