A lot of time spent in the van but would do it again. Guide and driver were very nice. Wish we had more time at the waterfall.
My whole family really loved this tour. The elephants at the end were fantastic!
From booking the tour to the end of the tour - it was an excellent experience. No problems booking. My hotel was not on the list for pick-up, however, they made the effort contacting me and confirming that someone will come and pick me up in the morning. The driver which later turned out to be the tour guide as well was there on time. We travelled in a small minivan out of Bangkok. The tour guide I do apologise, I'm terrible remembering names... informed us what we would be doing and later talked about Thai history. On the way to the national park we stopped to see and taste how to make coconut sugar and oil. We stopped also at a local market, picking local fruit for after lunch. Stopped at a farm for ox-ride and lunch. Our chef was the tour guide - well done. The food was local, very tasty. Then it was time to walk down to the waterfalls. Once we reached the bottom of the stairs we know why the tour guide decided not to join us. The stairs were as steep as and those 200 steps were definitely not for pregnant women, people with heart condition or those who are afraid of heights!!! But it was worth the walk down. The waterfalls were magnificent and apparently the full beauty comes out after the rainy season!. From here it was time for the elephant ride. Loved it!!! The handlers will take photos of you while you're in the charge of the elephant. And after the ride, we could also fed the elephants. They are definitely gentle giants and so, so beautiful animals!!! On the way home we were lucky to see monkeys as well! All in all - a highly recommended tour. Oh, and one more thing. Not sure it happens on with tour groups, but we were given the option to be dropped off either at the meeting point, a shopping centre or Skytrain station. I opted for latter, as by the time we have reached Bankok, it was peak hour. It took me 20 minutes to get to my hotel, which by car would have been at least an hour!.
A great day trip from Bangkok. Started out with a walk through a traditional Thai market, then an ox cart ride through green fields, tried our hands at cooking Thai food, a hike through the jungle, and finally a ride on the gentle giants a.k.a. elephants. Even though there were not much water at the waterfall, it was quite an experience hiking up and down through the jungle. This was truly a trip immersed with the countryside of Thailand.
The tour was amazing! A lot more expected than what my family and I expected! The tour guide was very friendly and great! This tour gave us a break from traveling Thailand on our own for a day. Even the local Thai people we met along the tour were very accommodating! Very recommended!
This was an amazing tour and worth every penny! Very well organized and met all our exceptions for only being a day long!
This was definitely one of the best tours of my entire trip to Thailand! It was incredible and I would do this tour hundred times over!!
Really a fantastic trip, and the best one Ive done out of all sight seeings around the world. Peter the guide was great, very knowledgeable and really went the extra mile to make our day perfect. There are so many activities included and not typical tourist places, we really saw it from the local point of view. The highlight was the elephant ride for sure. I really recommend this tour and Peter as a guide.
Just couldn and #39;t have been a better day, guide was amazing, the local farmers for the Ox car and lunch were so sweet, just a beautiful and perfect day!
Got a lot more out of it then expected, guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! There is so much more included than what is written.. We have done many tours and this is by far the best we have done, very well planned and thought out. This is a MUST DO tour!
Elephant ride was the best! Lots of fun, but will be in a van most of the day. The lunch was excellent and the ox ride is a lot of fun!
Great trip! We did so much that day and everything was fantastic! Highlight was the elephants! We came back to the hotel exhausted but very happy. It was practically a private tour. Just one other person joined my sister and I so we had a private guide/driver in a SUV. Sorry I can't remember his name but we were well taken care of. Best Thai lunch ever!
This was a great trip and I highly recommend it . Our guide Peter was very knowledgeable and informative of the surrounding culture. I would recommend him to anyone
great tour!!! our guide was Peter
He is the best!! Funny ,very knowledgeable, good cook
Elephant ride was the highlight of the day!.
This trip is excellent. Our guide, Peter, was so knowledgeable and we learnt so much. Nothing was too much trouble and he made an excellent trip even more fun and exciting. Lunch in the farmhouse was a real experience, as was the local market if you want to buy live frogs! and the elephant ride was the real highlight.
LOVED it! We were given the opportunity to control the elephant. It was a very memorable experience.
Everything was exactly as promised. The van was comfortable everything ran on time but without feeling rushed. The other van in our party broke down even though both vans looked pretty new, but the tour company handled it quickly with minimal fuss. The guides were fun, engaging, and easy to understand in English.
Great tour to some great destinations. Lunch was delicious and of course the elephant ride was unforgettable.
As far as we are concerned this was the best tour of our entire holiday to Thailand!
It was fun the moment we began our day trip and this was due to our guide.
We would like to describe him as Thailand's No.1 Tour guide.
If you only do one tour in Thailand then this would have to be the one. Although we thoroughly enjoyed the whole day trip from the markets to the rice paddy, the Ox Ride and the wonderful Thai lunch.
The highlight for us of this tour was the Elephant ride. We will always treasure our memories and photos and we have not been able to stop talking to people about it since we returned.
Thank You Peter you are the best!!
My family ages ranging from 26-57 really enjoyed this all-day excursion, complete with ox-cart ride, elephant trek and waterfall hike. The trek down to the waterfall was steep and not easy, but it was worth it. There were also places to wait if you didn't feel comfortable going down. Water and refresher towelettes were provided throughout the tour. I especially appreciated the fact that they stopped en route and on the way home to allow us to grab snacks for the long ride or use the restroom. It was one of our favorite and most memorable days in Thailand.
Loved this tour, the guide was fabulous and the cooking demonstration and lunch was excellent!!
