Then, once you’ve dried off, you’ll continue towards a section of the Burma Railway (Death Railway), along which you’ll walk while learning about the construction’s dark history.

You’ll also stop at the Tham Kra Sae Bridge, a former POW camp that’s now home to a cave with a Buddha image inside.

Your next stop is the Kanchaburi Elephant Sanctuary, where you’ll meet and learn about rescued elephants. You’ll end your tour at the Bridge Over the River Kwai, a landmark that played in significant role during World War II. Your tour ends with hotel drop-off.

Best day trip.
Staci_P, Jan 2025
Our guide was Yokie, and she was just wonderful! She taught us all about the area and took such good care of us. It was unfortunate timing, but I got hit with traveler’s indigestion midday and had some problems, something I had eaten the night before. Yokie was so kind and patient with me, and even helped us find some medication and hydration packets at a pharmacy. The waterfalls were just gorgeous and so fun to take a swim. We loved learning about some history, and getting to play with the elephants. Everything about this day was just fantastic. And Yokie was so wonderful. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a great day trip out of Bangkok!

Our guide was wonderful, the waterfall has 7parts, and to make it to the top took some grit. My spirit was tested, and we triumphed and completed all 7 in one go.
Fabulous experience
Jean_e, Jan 2025
My 14 year old son and I did this trip which was absolutely amazing. The total highlight was the elephants who are cared for. The waterfall was brilliant and we were lucky it was not too busy. Our guide was fabulous and very helpful throughout the day.
This was so much fun!...

This was so much fun! It’s a packed day with a lot to see and do. Our guide Josh was great! You will get wet with the elephants so you may want to bring some dry clothes.
Fantastic nature experience
Andree_W, Dec 2024
For travelers who enjoy nature, an experience not to be missed. Interacting with elephants was also fantastic and safe. One of the best tour, I have experienced and I am a past travel counselor.
Best Tour Ever!

This tour is truly bang for your buck! Super Lux comfortable A/C vehicle. Pickup and drop-off included. Water, lunch and all attractions admission included in price. Amazing sight seeing along the road trip to each attraction. Your guides speak English well and also make the trip extra fun and interesting by providing lots of educational and historical information about Thailand. On your way from the city you will see villages, towns, rivers, mountains, markets, monuments, farms incredible architecture, and you'll most certainly go home with the most stunning photos and most likely new friends. The Waterfalls and the Elephants alone are truly worth this tour. This is an animal lovers tour!! You'll also see and maybe get to feed Macaques/Monkeys bananas as an added bonus! This tour gets extra extra points for only supporting real humane Elephant sanctuaries which do not allow riding of the Elephants or forced labor of the animals. Guests/ visitors are allowed to join the staff and get involved with some of the daily routines of the animals. These include making the meals and preparing the fruit for the Elephants, feeding them, walking with them to the riverside and finally giving them a nice scrub bath. It's the most beautiful bonding experience with the Elephants, where they belong. In nature and safe and protected! Enjoy your full day of beauty, history, nature, animals, and traditional Thai cuisine and culture all wrapped in one unforgettable tour. ;) <3
Great day trip from Bangkok
Colin_C, Nov 2024
Was a great day our guide and driver were both knowledgeable and helpful. All of the sites we visited were excellent but the feeding and washing of the elephants was pretty special.
BOOK THIS TOUR!

Our tour guide, Bella, and our driver, Mr. P, were wonderful!! Bella’s English was great and she was very knowledgeable and kind. I was traveling with my elderly parents and she accommodated them every step of the way. Mr. P was a safe and punctual driver. The luxury van was really nice and clean. The Erawan Waterfalls were beautiful! Lunch was delicious! The best part was the elephant care facility. First, we were given an outfit to change into. Then we made the elephant treats. Afterwards, we fed the sweet elephants their treats and bathed them in the river. It was AMAZING! We highly recommend this tour!
Excellent Nature walk

Belated was an excellent guide and full of information rich on the history and background of Thai people. You will truly enjoy spending time in the parks waterfalls to spending time with the elephants. It's truly an amazing experience.
Totally worth it to take this tour!
Kathleen_F, Nov 2024
Although there is quite a bit of travel on this tour - the experiences are totally worth it. The elephant reserve was just amazing - a once in a lifetime opportunity. Thank you Amy for an awesome day!!
Worthwhile!!
Nancy_E, Nov 2024
Such a lot packed into a full day, and all such excellent experiences. The waterfalls! Feeding and bathing the elephants! The WWII history of the Bridge over River Kwai! Monkeys on the side of the road! Our small buffet lunch was delicious. Our guide Nan was excellent - clear speech, lots of info, pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommended tour, if you’re in Bangkok for more than a couple of days.
Railway, elephant and waterfalls, an eclectic but really enjoyable combination.
Philip_P, Nov 2024
This was a great albeit long day trip with each of the bridge on the River Kwai, the elephant sanctuary and the 7 waterfalls giving lifelong memories.
Awesome day!

A wonderful Thailand adventure
Ronlyn_R, Nov 2024
Experiencing this part of Thailand was amazing. Our tour guide ‘snake’ and our driver were excellent with knowledge and respect for all part of this tour! Waterfalls were beautiful and to see the elephants cared for was joyful .. no chains .. no prods. Seeing the bridge over the river Kwai and Cave on Remembrance Day was very special.
Un-ethical and horrifying.
William_M, Nov 2024
Let me start off by saying that our guide was lovely, but did not provide much as far as extra information that couldn't easily be read off signs. What was also not lovely was being tricked into an elephant excursion that was branded as caring and ethical and instead involved a man stabbing the elephants with a construction screw to perform tricks for us. This ruined pretty much the entire day for me. It was horrifying in every sense. Also, our guide failed to mention multiple free museums that other tourists later told us were the highlight of their trip. AVOID THIS EXCURSION!
Response from Host, Nov 2024
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that aspects of the tour didn’t meet your expectations, and we understand how upsetting it must have been to see something that felt contrary to your values. Our guide was especially saddened by your review, particularly after what felt like a positive interaction, including the generous tip you provided. Please know that we choose partners, like the elephant sanctuary, with a commitment to ethical practices, and we’ll address your concerns with them to ensure that standards are upheld. We also want to clarify that our itineraries don’t typically include museum visits, so we encourage guests to review the details before booking to ensure it aligns with their interests. Your feedback is important to us, and we’re committed to making sure each experience respects the values and preferences of our guests.

Great Time at Earwan Falls and Elephants

Wow, wow and WOW!
Suzanna_D, Oct 2024
What an amazing day this was from start to finish! The Erewan waterfalls are stunning and we had plenty of time to enjoy several of the levels...take swim shoes and a couple of towels. The buffet lunch was superb and then the trip to the elephant sanctuary exceeded our expectations. You're provided with a cotton top and trousers and flip flops and then quite literally get your hands dirty preparing and feeding the elephants and then wade into the river to shampoo and scrub them - absolutely amazing! A trip then to the Death Railway, museum and bridge on the river Kwai was just the icing on the cake. It's a very long and tiring day, but our guide, Nan was brilliant and we had the luxury of our own personal minibus and driver. If you're spending a few days in Bangkok, this trip is an absolute MUST!
Day trip.

We loved the beautiful area of the waterfalls. Feeding the elephants was a top experience. Long day on the road, but definitely worth it!
Elephant bathing
Debbie_T, Sep 2024
Interaction with the elephants was wonderful. Activities were great, but travel time to, from and between activities was very tiring.
Unforgettable, excellent fun. Great guide.
Paul_G, Sep 2024
Our guide's name was Guitar. And he was great fun. Talkative, giving us lots of information, he also took lots of pictures which he downloaded to us afterwards. The waterfall was great. And it was a tremendous relaxation to get in the water in a couple of those seven different pools. Even if those little fish were nipping at the skin of our toes. We got used to it and can see why people pay for it in those stalls in various Chinatowns around the world. The elephant care was something else. I didn't expect to be so close and personal with our elephant. We gave the elephant a bath, scrubbing her down which she really enjoyed. It was a lot of fun and something I will remember for as long as I live. Being that close to such a big animal and actually doing something that made her feel good.
