Traveler Tips

No need to choose tour with arranged lunch and pay extra.
The owner needs to be aware of what conditions these people are put under, Is he so cheap that you cant provide decent transportation.
There you have some time to walk along the floating market.

Excellent trip, better than described, our tour guide Noom spoke great English and was extremely helpful, he even went out of his and helped a few of us get our tickets on the Metro afterwards and showed us where to go back to our hotels
Good half day itinerary

Non-stop fun and authentic food to explore!
ryandhong, May 2022
Definitely worth the trip! What a fun way to explore Maeklong Railway and Damneon Floating Market! Our guide, Kiwi, was super fun and knowledgeable. She did a great job on the bus keeping us engaged and sharing important information about our whereabouts and the history of Thailand and the two markets we explored. The ride there did take about an hour each way but on the way there we stopped halfway to a rest stop with clean bathrooms. I do fall asleep easily on long road trips so did get in a nap both on my way their and on the way back home. At the markets, it was non-stop exploring and eating. So many food vendors to try and so much great authentic food available from snacks (like Satay) to full entree dishes (like Pad Thai) to desserts (like Coconut Ice Cream). Bring cash to try everything! The guide shared that tourism is rising again so after two years of pandemic it’s great to have tourists and locals back again. Both the train and floating markets are so unique and special. It was so much fun getting to see it with my own eyes. What an incredible experience to be able to explore and see more of Thailand! Huge thanks to Kiwi and Apple for keeping us safe while having a blast!
Great tour but needs some small improvements
Marc_E, May 2022
The train market and the floating market are great. My only concerns are about the transportation that is not confortable for a 1.5h trip. Seats are not great, suspensions are almost inexistant and Aircon is not powerful enough. We had sometimes a bit issues to understand the guide. But all in all a great tour.
Awesome experience . Our tour guide kiwi made our day!!

An excellent to with a very well informed guide

Our guide was extremely good at his job and made the morning one to remember. Very interesting and only 1 hour away from central Bangkok. The market was there first then the railway was introduced and the market workforce adapted to the challenge rather than move somewhere else, it’s a fabulous local market that sells a lot of fresh produce, It’s exactly as filmed on television. Truly amazing to see how it moves in minutes while the train is passing through. The water market was good fun. If you would like to buy something barter to a 1/3rd of the price I.e if they want 1500 the you try to get them down to 500. Lots of local food offered off the boats, a real eye catching moment and again well with the visit
