Tour guide was dry knowledgeable and friendly. He kept us entertained throughout the two and half hours. Bus ride was okay and seats were tight. We stopped at three different sights so we were able to get up and stretch with good timing.
Overall, tour was great.
This tour is EXCELLENT in all respects but one. The stops are too short. You get 20 minutes at the top of the mountain, 15 minutes in the gardens and 15 minutes at thunder hole. They need to add 30 minutes to the tour making it a 3 hour tour.
Great guided tour with a knowledgeable guide on paved roads. (The carriage roads in the park are for hikers, not buses. Good stops to view the area and use bathrooms. Directions for finding the meeting spot were good....we walked up the hill from the cruise ship to the large hangiing lobster and found the kiosk. Had a great lobster roll for lunch at the nearby Thirsty Whale pub before the tour began.
Bus was very hot and the shocks were bad, Very bumpy and not mush to see a couple of nive niews fro atop Cadillac Mountain. Just not an overall great tour it was like watching grass grow. Sorry but thats how I felt. The Guide spoke way to mush could not let anything he said sink in
Our tour guide — Roger, talked non stop for the entire 3 hours. In the middle of nature, I would have preferred some quietness in the bus to take in the moment. I understand his job is to narrate but that doesn’t mean he has to talk and repeatedly make silly and nonsensical jokes...sooo annoying!!
The park is amazing. We decided to go back on our own to do a quiet tour and take in the wonders of Acadia.
The best part was our tour guide. She was very knowledgeable, interesting and a great speaker. The main negative was the tour stops were very short (about 15 minutes each), which allowed people to go to the restroom if needed, but there wasn't enough time to really explore each stop area. Though it was designed as a fairly short bus tour to give you a quick exposure of key areas in the region, it would be better if the tour was a bit longer and thereby allowed more time at each stop.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, however, the tour should have been cancelled and refunded. We couldn't see anything due to the fog. In addition, it poured rain the whole time. It turned out to be a waste of money. Pretty much just a ride in a bus with fogged up windows.
